Also, there is literally no correlation between fewer penalties and great coaching. This board salivates over Dino Babers, Mike Leach, and Lincoln Riley, yet they are all right there with us on page one of most penalties per game.

I hated listening to that interview live. I didn't come away from it thinking he was going to right the ship. Ill say this, if Manny TRULY means it when he says he knows the UM culture, knows what it means to be a Hurricane, was born and bred a Cane since he was a kid...then he knows his leash is VERY short and he cannot afford to not take these next 3 games at home serious.

He should know our fanbase is very sick and tired of the BS and we will boo him off that field if they come out looking like **** against VT. He has two **** weeks to prepare and make this right again, he better use every minute of it.

After a performance like that, accountability should consist of telling your players to run laps for the entire practice period because its not like they're busting their *** to get better at football, so at least they'll stay busy. Then look at the coaches and tell them to run behind them because they're just as responsible.

Or just take away their electronics. It works for teenagers.

Who else is better my guy? OLINE is doo doo right now. Take their lumps and get better. I am gonna just ride with the team, im done complaining. What Manny has done on defense the past 3 yrs gives him the benefit of a doubt FOUR ******* GAMES into his season. Not sure how you expected a miracle worker.

It would be a miracle for miami to beat unc and score more than 17 against central Michigan.


Get the **** outta here. Our schedule has 1 maybe 2 teams that should even come close to beating us.

Ppl on here are finger pointers, they have to blame the coach when Miami teams lose.. It's never the player's fault when Miami lose..

Miami player's have to play better, I'm sorry after watching this **** for this long I'm sorry it can't keep being the coach to blame.. When Miami was good, player's took this **** serious these player's don't seem to be serious about this ****.. I watch the games and I'm sorry, the performance I see on the field is sorry.. I don't see Miami player's dominating and that's not Miami football.. It seems like on these sites Miami will never get a good enough coach, because it's always bad coaching when Miami loses..

What is it exactly you think coaches do?
 
Look, this may ultimately turn into nothing and the team may still continue to stink but at least the guy is trying. I don't recall hearing of anything similar from the last 4 bozos. It may turn out that he's just in over his head but I have to believe he's going to go down fighting. Maybe it's me not admitting to myself that we have yet another 4 year cycle to live through but I just have to try to see the positive in this.

No coach has ever kept their job because they were trying hard. Do we really need to talk about participation trophies.

This is grown up stuff. Trying hard means jack if the product on the filed is poor. Going out fighting is meaningless if he also goes out losing.

In 11 regular season games, the 2001 team, the greatest team ever had 109 penalties for 944 yards.
In 11 regular season games the 2002 team had 124 penalties for 124 yards.

This has been a problem here forever. Please don't give me the showboating or aggression nonsense. Canes teams have ALWAYS been undisciplined and error prone, no matter who the coach was.

Now compare every coach on each one of those teams to our current staff. Head to head. Then compare every starter head to head. Those teams had superior player development, personnel, and coaching. The penalties suck. But, you can overcome them often times if you have a superior staff and /or superior coaching.

Manny can’t afford to have an undisciplined team and suspect coaching.

I'm sorry, but what has he done again? Please don't hang your hat on some inflated numbers garnered by playing in the coastal ACC. Remember LSU, remember Wisconsin 5 games ago. The defense, if you can even call it that, was his. You can't blame that all on MR.

LSU’s offense didn’t do **** that game. And that Wisconsin game was only 14-3 at half despite FOUR first half TOs by our embarrassing offense. By the third quarter that defense was gassed and defeated mentally. They couldn’t play the entire game and be effective against that kind of offense.
