Someone made a thread about it last year. Brown/George/X were all yac monsters.Good points...I'm talking just as much as from a personnel standpoint though
Ward more of a big play hunter…with a better deep ball, although I wouldn't short Beck in either regard.
But imo...
Arroyo
George
And even though not a speed back by any means, there is a little bit more of a big play chunk yardage aspect to Martinez game then there is with Fletcher and especially Brown's game. Even Horton who isn't as polished a WR and definitely not as good at making tough catches, fighting for the ball…The one advantage he probably has over Daniels is deep threat.
Were all capable of big plays that may not quite be there this year without Lyle and Trader (maybe eventually Pringle) in the lineup.
I mean we have 2 plays over 30 yards in 2 games and one of the opponents was Bethune Cookman. Even if you account for keeping it vanilla against BC, you still expect an RB or WR to house one or 2. This isn't really a complaint because there's a ton to like about the offense, just an observation that this is more of a success rate based than explosive type offense right now, although it still has a chance to be a very good one.
Thats a skill and also its a confidence and experience thing, toney showed some of it but we will need our skill players to make 5 yard gains into 10-15, and 10 yard gains into 20-25 if we plan on sustaining a high level the entire year
