TOS report on RJ and Kendrick

MedleyCane,

Never said VT was a monster. Just said that on paper they are likely the Coastal favorites. Just my $.02 based on what I've seen from both teams this year, what each team has returning and where the game is being played. You are certainly free to believe otherwise and obviously prone to hyperbole.

From following this sport for a few years (as I'm sure you have as well), I've learned to ignore how teams look "on paper" months before
the season kicks off.
And once the season ensues, when the bullets are flying, paper is even more meaningless because of injuries, suspensions, players improving (or not),etc.

AUcane,

I'm not arguing with you. Another poster suggested that "VT isn't in our league." That makes no sense.

canecat,

"Not in our league?" Are you serious? VT has arguably the best coach in the Coastal Division and started a frosh at QB. They played Clemson extremely tough and overcame the loss of some key early departures in 2017. They exceeded expectations in 2017. If you don't think playing at Lane Stadium next year will be tough, then I'm not sure what I can say to convince you they are more than just a formidable opponent.

Who cares? They almost beat Clemson the year Clemson won the title.

VT is a solid program with a solid coach. The game at Lane next year will be very tough. What are we arguing?

Auburn, Troy, NC State, Louisville, FSU almost beat Clemson the year they won the title. So?

Norton and RJ are going to get drafted no later than the 4th.... CIS needs to get off the meth and let it go. They're both going to make more money than they've ever had, smart decision for them both.

Move on... we are still going to challenge Clemson for the ACC. omg that's right y'all are going to keep bxtchn about the depth chart bc you all like to play mix and match on the internet and think it has anything to do with real life lol

3rd/4th round money is minimum wage comparatively speaking to 1st Round money. It's all about the 2nd contract, that most guys never get to.

The only difference is the upfront money... contract isn't guaranteed regardless. If they do what they do, they'll get more the next contract.

Most UM players that make it in the nfl, drafted and undrafted, get to the next contract, doubt these two will have any problem with that.

Whole lot of bisha$$ed-ness going on in this thread.

Serious question, because I cannot figure out why an adult would do it: Does making this kind of post make you (and the several others that doe it regularly) feel cooler, or tougher or something?

edit/ sorry I should not have assumed you are an adult, correct that if it is not accurate.

Serious question, does making posts like this make you feel like a more mature, intelligent person? To me it just makes you seem condescending. It's a friggin' football message board.

The 5% chance of ending up on the browns would almost always dissuade me from leaving early lol

No, I am comfortable in my maturity level. I just am curious about things so I wanted to know.

Why the **** would they make the decision together?? Makes no sense to me, once you get into the league that contract is for ONE person and you aren't going to be sharing it with the guy who made the decision with you.

They are worried that one leaving would expose them to more double teams IMO. That's what I'm guessing, anyway...

That's about as weak as it gets...Like NFL scouts don't know you are getting doubled, and like they don't want to see you fight a double?

Also, what's gonna happened if Norton gets doubled? He's gonna have less than 26 tackles? (and nothing wrong with that, zero and 1 techs don't usually have big stats)

Do you remember when Clemson lost the national championship, then lost their entire DL to the draft, and then the following year won the national championship?

Every team deals with players leaving. This fatalistic attitude based around 2 players that aren't even top draft picks is a bit much

Remember that time that Clemson signed 16 defensive lineman recruits leading up to that 2016 championship games that averaged 3.75 stars and included 2 5 star defensive tackles?

Nuance matters. It didn't hurt them because they had Wilkins and Lawrence to play with other high end talent. We don't have anything like that. Not even the same galaxy.

They also had a guy named Deshaun Watson. He wasn't bad either.
