Just another reason why it was better for Bama to beat UGA. Even though Mario has been involved in many championship teams kids like shiny new objects and Lanning just was a part of one.
that might play into it but more likely that the kid spent a long *** time committed to oregon and is from california. Miami was always going to be a hard pull with less than a month's notice

That’s why Cristobal doesn’t let kids commit until they think about it. He was going to decide on one of these two even if he committed to Miami a few weeks ago. All it does is avoid a decommit that’s bad for optics and hurts momentum. Our past coaches never understood this.

To be fair Manny cut down on the decommits, we only lost Feagans, the rest were drops, last year we got ours back that we wanted the rest were drops.

The next evolution of that is stop taking the kid you don't which you don't really believe in talent wise so you don't have to drop him. I think Mario has already fixed that.

Good for Mario not letting these dudes visit here if he knows/feels they're not coming.Mario keeps saying we need to work.Guess has no time for games.

How do you know that was the case here? Please do tell.

Manny did do that this year, helped by poor on field performance leading to no one wanting to commit anyways
