Yeah his throw to George in the first half where he anticipated where George would be 4 seconds early (before George even started his wheel route) while standing and taking a hit from an unblocked free rusher was all in my imagination last night. That wasn't in the first half either right? Didn't get the team down into the redzone 4 times in the first half to go up at half time when the game was in reach did he?

ONCE AGAIN, this board is fillled with people who obviously didn't watch the game. Thanks 👍

TVD played a better game than most people here will admit

But you gotta remember you’re talking to a group of people that aren’t even allowed to have opinions in their own households so it’s not always about TVD

We've known he's not athletic or has the greatest pocket presence, but he took off and ran a few times tonight, AND rolling out to extend plays and drives AND took some hits.

He had ONE bad play on his first INT, AND YALL crucify him for that?? Yall expect him to have a PERFECT game for us to win the game??

Where TF was the defense getting roasted by a kid who's been on the team since this morning? 3rd and 20 for a TD LOL. Dude had 6 catches and 3 TDs lmao

Where TF was the defense who allowed yet another UNC 200 yard rusher???

Where TF was the defense forcing zero turnovers??

Where TF are these 5 star players on defense?? They're doing little dances and celebrating a play down 13 points,and getting beat deep on every pass play. Not knowing where to line up.

And UNC graciously called off the dogs and settled for 2 back to back field goals for the entire fourth quarter, instead of dropping a 50 burger.

TVD didn't fumble on the 2 inch line. TVD didn't snap the ball 3 yards to the left.

Yall are done with him and ready for what??

Yall want him benched to have Emory Williams' first start against Clemson lol

Or better yet, Jacurri can run us to victory against Clemson lmao.

TVD is the ONLY reason we had anything tonight and our WRs for playing lights out.

Tonight was 100% on the defense. Their single digit IQs and their moron coordinator for sprinting onto the field to be the first coordinator in CFB history to get a personal foul.

Battered women syndrome. Man team played well and then started the second half with 2 turnovers. That’s the ball game. If those 2 things don’t happen Miami has a chance to win. Idky everyone is freaking out like Miami came out flat and got murdered it wasn’t even close to that. TVD struggled in the second half but so did the whole O. Dawson didn’t call a good second half. Team is still building relax we all knew this wasn’t a quick fix. If Mario can’t look drastically different in year 3 then sound the alarms

Nah but we ran off kids and said they were problems. Guess what? We still have fumble issues but no explosion. We also have zero creativity in our run offense.

He was more explosive than any back we currently play. We don’t use cj at all and he can house anything w his speed. We continue to run two slow backs. I said this w don before and got crushed. He’s not fast

I'd like to see CJ get some burn but Rooster had an atrocious YPC and possibly the WOAT YAContact.

Give me a Homer or DJ Dallas. 4/5th round RB with some speed and we're 6-0.
 
My honest assessment of TVD is this, he is system quarterback only and doesn't have elite QB intangibles. I still think he struggles recognizing certain coverages and often times if he has to read and go through progressions, he struggles. The great thing about Lashlee and now Dawson's scheme is that it limits the mental game and you can basically play wide open "backyard ball." That said, Dawson's scheme is awesome and any competent qb should have 400+ yards a game in it. TVD is a competent QB, just not an elite one. I think the frustration with TVD is, after all of the offseason drama with him, he hasn't taken that next step the way that he probably should have by now. As a redshirt junior, you can't miss the defender dropping into coverage last night on that first pick, and you can't continue to ask your o-line (who I thought played pretty well last night) to give you even more time to find an open receiver. Someone else said it, he is basically Brad Kaaya. Plenty of arm talent, but when it's time for that clutch moment when you need him to carry the team on his back and lead the team to an improbable win, he typically doesn't have it in him. His resume and record has shown this so far. Nothing against him personally. Just my assessment of him after watching him for a few years now.

TVD has his issues (locks on to X, doesn't go thru enough progressions, struggles vs. certain zone coverage) but he's definitely above average and good enough to win us 10 games.

Side note - Everyone fails to mention our lack of explosion with the running game. 1 run over 30 yards in 6 games (which was vs. prevent defense). 0 runs over 40 yards all season. Puts everything on TVD for chunk plays.

I feel like TVD is just coasting through college on his talent. Look at his physique.. it hasn't changed since he has been here. Does he spend any time in the gym? Look at his wimpy noodle arms. As weak today as they were when he came here. No dedication.

Watched the whole game actually. Been painfully watching this program religiously for 10 plus years.
It was a great throw and hit absolutely, BUT that was a designed throw and timing. That's not anticipation of coverage it's just a **** of a throw and standing in the pocket.

Once again, there are people who are fans and people who have actually played and coached at a very high level, who know the game.
