Its now or never for miami to pay for a elite hc or the brand is not coming back with sec grabbing Tex and okla, not to mention ucf going to big 12 if that conference stays p5 ucf going to grab bigger recruits

Wasn’t Herman the guy that struggled recruiting in Texas? High school coaches thought he was arrogant and it showed cause most of the top kids in Texas went elsewhere.

Is apologize for the mess of a board. The truth is most of the users aren’t Miami fans. They cheer for us to lose because they want to be proven right with every coach.

The truth is you don’t hire championship coaches away from programs, you find them from coordinator positions and G5 head coaches.

I’ve already suggested we open a board to discuss coaching so that every thread on the football board isn’t some random rambling about CMD. That idea was not popular so hear we are. I understand if you want to take your business to a website that actually cheers for the team.

Tom is like a lot of other coaches. Has some good points and he some bad, all coaches can all be picked apart. No one has to like him...feel free to hate him.

But the next coach should be the best coach we could possibly get and if that is Herman, then its Herman (so long as they actually ask others first). Would not be the worst hire.

I would hate it if they pass over a guy like Herman to go get UTEP or Liberty’s coach.

Ohhh, gotcha. I'd just counter with that I personally think Ol' Mack is a decent coach but that the jury is absolutely still out on him this go-around at UNC too. Dude has some major recruiting wins but if he's going to end up averaging like 4 losses per year while a member of the Corstal then he's certainly more like end of the run in Texas Mack than natty winning in Texas Mack.
