Toledo Game Noon Kickoff

With all the fun I’ve been making of Toledo in this thread, I have to make a confession.

If I could swing it, I would go just because I’m a roller coaster freak and apparently that park that’s a couple of hours away has some pretty super intense ones.

I’m an adrenaline junkie so I like those kinds of things. If I could make the time, which I can’t, I’d make like 2 or 3 weeks and travel to the most intense rides all over the country.

When I’m in Vegas I do the Stratosphere rides plus the jump. Insane.

As one of like 3 Toledo grads on CIS, I feel I have an obligation to pitch you all as to why you should come to Toledo, OH, to attend this game. All while knowing full and well my pitch will not be effective at all, and I'll probably get negged for some reason. Anyway, here we go:

1. The Glass Bowl is a cool *** stadium. It isn't that big compared to a P5 stadium, but it's one of the biggest in the MAC and one of the oldest, and it's pretty unique. There is an actual Rocket outside.

2. People in Toledo are really nice. I only lived there for 3 years but I love going back because of the people.

3. Miami is going to run train on the Rockets (I always root for Miami no matter who they are playing, but I have to admit this one will hurt a little bit). I think last year's mess will light a fire under the Canes.

4. Barry's Bagels. They make good sandwiches.

5. Toledo has a Casino. Idk I'm reaching here now.

6. Mutz's bar. Love this place. Spent a lot of time there over the years.

On second thought... don't come because I have family coming up from FL and NC and I need to find tickets for all of them. The Glass Bowl will sell out quick.

Until next time, Go Canes.
(and go Rockets on all other days than 9/16).
I’m going to get that bagel sandwich. Thanks for the heads up.

Cedar point is only an hour and 15 minutes away from Toledo, its expensive to me, but it'd be cool to go to since you've never been. If you decide to come, go Monday-Thursday. Friday, Saturday and Sunday are packed. But if you go on the weekend, get a fast pass, I wanna say it's like $70-80. It allows you to skip to the front of the lines so you won't have to wait 2+ hours for the big ones like the Dragster, Millennium Force, etc.

I doubt I’m going because it’s not in my plans as an away game, but just out of curiosity what do the entrance tix cost... and yes, I ain’t waiting in line so I’d buy that fast pass on top. Good suggestion.

The day I get the golden parachute I’m taking an adrenaline trip, probably without the wife. Roller coasters, bungees, and water jumps (cliff jumps)

I want to say they're about $70 at the gate, if you buy them online it's cheaper, they always have deals. Could never do bungee jumping, scares the crap out of me lol

Just got back from Colombus a few days ago. Cant' say I have any interest in going back to Ohio any time soon. I'll be watching this one from my couch. My buddy has been to Cedar Point and he says it's a must do for roller coaster enthusiasts.

That’s the idea. You’re scared shltless but do it anyway. You have to be just a little crazy.

Which side of the stadium is the visiting team’s sideline? Is it on the Club/Suites side with the Sections: 1-10 or the opposite side with Sections: 18-30?

My dad has the season tickets at the Rock, so I assume he should be able to hook me up with tickets through the hurricane club? If so, anyone know if there a deadline for that? Thanks
