Thoughts ? Top 5 QBs in the ACC

You can’t have it both ways and blast the team for winning close games which we haven’t done in the past(2016 3 losses by 7 points or less) and also other previous seasons. But then turn around and not give them credit for fighting and winning close games. You lose credibility when you say stuff like that honestly

In that same line of thinking we could have easilybeen 12-1 in the 2016 too right? Were we? **** no...

Stats don’t lie but they can be misleading. If Malik played QB at NC State, Syracuse or VT last season what would his stats look like? You give Dungey, Finley or even Jackson the talent Malik has around him and the statistical numbers look far different.

Dungey had 2 of the better receivers in the country in Erwin phillips and his name is Escaping me right now but he’s from south Florida too. Finely had a bunch of talent at N.C. state last year too and I dont Know if you noticed but they are returning like 3 receivers who had 700 plus yards each last year with an excellent oline.

Fact is that was rosiers first year starting while being without what was thought to be the main offensive guy going into the season In mark Walton in game 4, star receiver and presumed #1receiving option being hurt all season long even in games he played. In addition to that the 35 plus dropped passed we had last year too. Does he need to improve? You **** right but ima give credit when it’s due. I can Sit here and critique malik all day, I have in the past but in reality what most people are dismissing is the fact that guys can improve.

I don’t lose a **** thing by saying we need to have fewer close calls. You simply lose more games when you have more close games. There’s a reason Bowden said the 4 stages were “lose big, lose small, win small, win big.” We are at the win small stage, and no matter how you sugar coat it, staying there is not where we want to be. It’s too **** easy to take a step back to lose small, when win big is what we need to take a positive step forward.

Bryant was throwing against air in that game. We never stood a chance. By the time we got a stop we were already down by 20 points.

Rick did a terrible job that day because his rap all season was getting to the ACCCG. Once we got there, we were just happy to be there.

And that "just happy to be there" mentality started the moment the final whistle blew (blue?) in our victory over Virginia when we wrapped up the coastal.

I've been saying it since last season. I blame that mentality as much as anything else for our horrible performance against Pitt. No matter what happened in that Pitt game, we were in the ACCCG with a chance for the CFP spot. The team knew it, and they played like it. All of them.

Exactly. We didn’t show up against Pitt. When I saw their RB run Chad over in the first quarter I knew we were in deep trouble. We didn’t show up, and that was Pitt’s bowl game.

10 straight games without a bye. The team needed a break, and they took one. Simple as that.

I love TB, but one thing that’s always stuck in my craw is his assertion that He doesn’t give motivational speeches because speeches go out the window as soon as you get hit in the mouth.

Yeah, it sounds nice, but fact is the season wears on these players and it’s the job of coaches to make sure they’re mentally prepared to take on every opponent and put their best effort on the field.

By the time you get to the locker room pre-game it’s too late for movie type speeches. It’s on the HC to push buttons all week. Parcells always said motivation is the HC’s number one job.

The best leaders/motivators/button pushers are the best HCs. Guys like Dabo, Urb, and Sabag aren’t reinventing schematic football; they’ve made their bones recruiting and motivating and having their teams mentally prepared for battle far more often than not.
