Thoughts on 1st year

If you went into this season thinking a team that fired its coach mid season last year and based on 2015s performance had a mediocre run game , mediocre qb, and a mediocre OL was supposed to win the ACC Coastal then you have quite the imagination. Looks like you bought into the Kaaya preseason draft hype. The Vegas experts who actually have hundreds of millions of dollars riding on accurate assessments saw a 6-6 team. Many of you apparently saw a 10-2 team that wins the ACC Coastal. The defense generally played above expectations. If they had played exactly like the 2015 defense and the offense averages 5 more ppg than 2015 you know what we are? A 6-6 team. We go on a miracle run to finish 8-5 in 2015, Vegas predicts 6-6 on 2016,we go 8-5 or maybe even 9-4 in 2016 crushing the expert predictions, and you think it's a fail. Doesn't matter that we're finishing strong ( helping recruiting) or it looks like we finally figured out how to block and maximize Kaaya for next year's realistic run to the ACC Coastal division championship. Players have to be broken of old habits and a losing mentality, it takes time to change the culture. One aspect of the team surprisingly outperforms and this year's expectations go from 6-6 to 10 win acc Coastal Champs. Lol ok

It doesn't have a ******* thing to do with unreal expectations. You think anyone is the Coastal has a better overall roster than us, you're ******* crazy.

Talk about buying into bull****, how about assuming Vegas knows something we don't and isn't just about pushing bet activity.

It's a disappointing season but the aggressive defense is what we've been asking for and they are young so that's promising.

I don't know how we regressed on offense but every complaint that people on this board had richt changed or tweaked. Less under center, less RPO, truth be told Bk misses a lot of open wide receivers. The O-line is the worst I've seen in years and we don't have any TRUE Tackles on the team, maybe sunny but let's face it, he sucks.

Richt was rusty as a play caller and the more the year has progressed the better he has become.

I agree with the culture change part, though.

While the playcalling and overall offensive scheme could have been better. We still need to get rid of the Game time blunders and mishaps.

Even with the bad offensive coaching, if we didn't have untimely penalties and dropped balls we would still be in the thick of it.

We are not a better team, improved defense, but offense is worse. Recruiting is nothing to write home about.

Our offense sucked last year. Scored nothing vs Clemson. Scored points late vs UNC. Didn't even hit big points against crap teams like FAU. Kaaya already has more touchdowns than last year and our running game looked worse many times last year
