This Was Not a Bad UF Team

Nah, they suck.

Yes their defense is very solid. But even so we left points on the field, and had a TD stolen by the zebras. This was a 4 score beatdown, even with our offense having an off night.

A talented roster does not equal a good, or even average team. Nobody watched that game Sat night and thought they belonged on the field with us.
If they suck then we arent a cfp team.

Cfp teams put away teams that stink and suck early.

Cfp teams dont struggle to score TDs against teams that suck and stink.

Cfp teams can throw on teams that suck and stink.

Cfp teams drop 40+ on teams that stink and suck.

Cfp teams force multiple turnovers against teams that stink and suck.

Cfp teams not talking about stolen TDs against teams that suck or stink bc they scoring at will any way.

If we saying UF sucks, then maybe we need to check the expectations for what Miami is going to be.

Their defense is good, and they play hard. They're solid at all 3 levels, and we played a rain game against them.

Their offense is beyond pathetic. It's now 126th in the country in Adj/EPA per play. It's putrid.

We did what we had to do to win the game. It was evident after the first 2 series they had absolutely no chance to score points on us if we didn't gift them any.

And again, I hear you on the not blowing them out stuff. And nobody is going to want to hear this, because one play shouldn't impact a game that much. I hear all that, and it's not wrong. But I just have to say for everyone all the way in the back, we lined up on 4th and 1 from their 48 yard line, with 11 minutes to go in the 3rd quarter.

And Marty Brown broke their ******* back with a 48 yard touchdown run. Period. The ******* end. It's 20-0, the place is going absolutely ape****, and we DO blow them out. Nobody on the planet can convince me that game doesn't end something like 34-0 or 41-7 if they don't blow that play dead on a RIDICULOUS call. So this isn't some, oh, if our guy makes a spectacular catch, or if Beck does this a little better, it's different. No. This was a football play that we scored a 48 yard touchdown on, and instead, we punted.

So, no, UiF's TEAM doesn't stink. Their offense does. Their defense does not. And if the officials had any clue what the **** they're doing, we beat them by 30+, easily.

Nobody confusing them for world beaters.

But we can't be playing the officials or hypothetical card against bad teams if we're supposed to be some dominant team.

At the end of the day, we didn't beat them by 30.

If they truly were cheeks, we'd be up by 30 at half time, certainly by the 3rd quarter, and Emory is taking a knee running the clock out at the end of the game.

Mf's were close to having heart attacks in the middle of the 4th quarter while the freshmen and walk ons are getting burn.

Either they ain't that bad or we aint that good.

I think we're pretty good myself and simply noting this was not a bad opponent we played. I think they'd possibly beat Notre Dame to put it in perspective.

Think a lot of the offense was eating the rat poison. Hopefully they use the bye week to figure it out.
I think the Gators have a really good D, and the wet conditions slowed down our passing game. Just because the Gator's O is bad does not mean their D is trash. That's a championship level D, if they had anything that resembled an O. Just like us last year, the other way around. Difference being, the O scores points, and points win games, whereas a D can only do so much.

No way our O was eating the rat poison while our OL was plowing through the Gators. They were blocking like madmen out there. Everyone was.

How come people always say this?

It’s literally untrue every single season. It happens every single week

Sounds cool to say but is pure nonsense

Why do you say this?

Michigan stunk last year, that's why Ohio State blew them out.

Northern Illinios stunk last year, that's why national runner up Notre Dame blew them out.

You're being foolish. We have decades of evidence on this. Every single time a championship contending team plays a team who "stinks", the championship contender wins by 50. It's literally never happened any other way.

I was watching the OSU Ohio game the other week thinking my god our fans would be melting down the way OSU was struggling

LSU struggled with LA Tech and much worse with Florida

Penn St was up 10-0 at the half against FIU

UGA was up 14-3 against AUSTIN PEA

THATS JUST THIS YEAR 🤣

One of my best buddies from high school ended up being a tunnel rat in Nam. He arrived and they handed him a flashlight and a 45 ACP and said go to work. Cannot imagine it.

We had one of those guys at work who also did tunnels in 'Nam. The man worked as a Computer Operator back in the mainframe data processing days. He liked being in the computer room because it was brightly lit, had cool temperature and was mostly quiet. We learned early to never approach him quietly from his blind spot and dude drank during lunch. Very nice guy but he obviously returned messed up.

As a team, they stink. However, I think they have a more talented roster than FSU.

I've been following college football since the 1970s, especially the Florida schools. UF has always had talent, even during their mediocre years. They draw high-end talent because they are the flagship school in Florida. They are very similar to Texas in this regard.

The same FIU that was boatraced by Delaware.

Worst UF offense in 2 decades? Very good chance they're having a 2024 FSU type year. They suck.

And yes, if that Miami passing attack keeps showing up on gameday, we absolutely need to check our expectations.

Beck is currently #16 in the country in QRB, and we have the #6 success rate when throwing the football.

Keep your schedule open in January. We're good.

I mean Ohio state won the title last year, lost to unranked Michigan, barely beat a BAD unranked Nebraska. It happens.

Isn't it obvious I was being sarcastic?

UF is garbage. They have one of the worst offenses in the country & their Defense was missing like 7 players.
I would honestly love to read your thoughts on what you’ve seen thus far. Or at least, on this game in particular.

Thanks man! 👍🏼

Thus far; 4-0 is 4-0.

But there's some glaring red flags that are on film; the right team will notice it & exploit them; its a matter of how we'll respond.

The UF game... I'm not allowed.

Thank you. And 🤣🤣 @ “I’m not allowed”.

I feel like Beck’s decision making and throws are late but I do like what I see in the trenches. I know very little about football but from what I’ve seen over the years, teams that can control the line of scrimmage usually do well.

And Bain - unreal; the level he is playing at.

Love your insight! Thanks boss!

If you look at every NC team for the last 30 years (except Maybe Nebraska 95) every single one had at least one close shave against a meh team, usually where the offense struggles. The greatest team of all time, UM 2001, had 2. And this one really wasn't that close a shave. We were what an 8 point favorite? And won by 19. More than doubled the point spread. UF still had their starters in late when we plowed it down their throats. Those points count.

I'm not saying we're a championship team (yet), but if we are a game like this wouldn't be a surprise. But this guys is saying every playoff team blows out every inferior team? Huh. There were 12 undefeated teams in the CFP last year? Must have missed that.
