This Was Not a Bad UF Team

Good teams don't end up with the record they're likely to post at the end of the season. Want to say good defense, fine, but good teams are judged by win / loss record. Right now they're not a good team.
This is, frankly, a bit of an archaic, black and white take. Sure, they may not win more than 3 games. But A) their schedule is insane, B) they’re poorly coached by a guy that will not make it to the end of the season, and C) the culture is gonna go to **** as the losses pile up. But that is going to be one of the three “best” teams on our schedule from a talent perspective.

We had drops too and a td taken away. Every week we have to overcome a bad call that gets the other team momentum.

that being said, they have talent. The problem they would have hiring a coach is they fire coaches quick except for Napier

I honestly didn't care about the TD reversal by the refs. Mesidor should have been called for targeting in the first quarter and the refs didn't see it and we got the next play off before the review desk halted play. We banked one so I was fine when we paid the bill later.

THOSE INBREDS CAME INTO THE GAME WITH UPSET ON THEIR MINDS…. AND THAT DIDN’T BOTHER ME…BUT THIS THE FIRST GAME THIS YEAR WE ALL SAW BECK GET RATTLED…WHAT SAVED HIM IS WE KEPT POUNDING THE ROCK…WE’VE GOT 2 HUGE GAMES COMING UP WITH THE SEMINHOLES AND LOSERVILLE…THE BE-WEEKS SET UP PERFECTLY TO PREP FOR BOTH…GET IT DONE CANES!!!! 🙌🏻

Stop violating James Jackson's Brother's ALL CAPS copyright.

Daniels also had a drop for us that was a long first down and puts us in FG range with new downs, deep in their territory.

Instead we had to punt.

So you're right, but we also should have had more points.
that drop was indeed a total killer, especially when your QB is a bit off. But CJ has been a stud and it was rainy/wet so **** happens

Think a lot of the offense was eating the rat poison. Hopefully they use the bye week to figure it out.
Maybe but any way it goes, we ground out the points. Beck was off a bit so you grind it out. If this were and SEC vs SEC game it would be:

“Incredible battle of wills as TEAM A pounded the ball in the trenches. While TEAM B was outmatched tonight, both of these squads will be a challenge to their opponents for this season. Warriors abound, pitting might against mettle”

Instead, here its:

“The only Beck I like is Devil’s Haircut”
“We don’t pass enough”
“Where’s the TE in this design”
“I bet are uniform choice will stink…where are those Nikes Dez had…”
Ect…ect…ect

They'll win 1 or 2 games that they shouldn't against these ranked teams they play because they have a great defense and also because.... the Sec is gonna Sec. I agree with some of y'all that Texas is definitely one of those teams they have a great chance at beating.

Poorly coached and they don't have the nuts to go 4 full quarters...and, well, they couldn't.

Just because your ******** went tight after the gator touchdown, doesn't mean it was a close game. Much like last week's game versus LSU, this one felt bureaucratic...long, but it got done eventually. 19 point win. Like a strategy for a world title fight...come out and established dominance early, then settle in to take them into deep waters and you lose a few rounds, but turn it on in championship rounds and finish with a dominant win.

They have a good defense, but they got beat down and bludgeoned all game long and struggled to get off the field and couldn't when the game might have felt just in reach to take over. But those early body blows showed the damage late in the game where Miami just bulldozed them to a finish.

Much of the issues Miami had were of their own doing. Tons of penalties (hallmark of Mario Cristobal teams ffs), and a really bad call that would have made the game a blowout early. Maybe Florida stole a round or two after they started taking Miami to the outside, but no big deal all game long.

No question their schedule is insane.

The rest is just excuses. How is your team good if it's poorly coached? You can have a talented team, it's poorly coached, but you're still not a good team.

If the culture is rotten, again, that isn't a good team.

There's nothing archaic about it. We've been everything you said they are talented, poorly coached, and had a bad culture. Coaches lost jobs because of it. We didn't say we were a good team when those things happened so why would we say that about them?

They aren't a good team and the metric is the record.

They have a legit defense which has showed up every game this season.

They basically have a Qb and HC problem.

They've been in every game they've lost and in position to win them all.

Glad we ran into them last night before the trip up North. Nice lil wake up call.
