This is on Richt

This is 100% not on Richt. Wow, I'm shocked people blame this on Richt, and in doing so, absolve Kaaya or praise him. I'm done if people are blaming Richt for not being able to win with this crap.

We lit these guys up last year. Same OL. Same QB. What changed?

We have an ACC Miami team - not perfect - but our coach is stuck in the SEC run, run, run crap.

We either need big, slow, SEC players or we need a new offensive coordinator who knows how to use speed and not get all constipated calling Georgia plays.

We actually played VT looser and with a lot more emotion last year - but Mount Rushmore Richt - there's no fire. There's no fun. There's no emotion.

We're flatter than a Mississippi mudbank.

U deflect all blame away from kaaya smh oline bad richt been bad but so has kaaya man

Kaaya has not played like a Day 1 or even a Day 2 draft pick. He's unathletic and that hurts us. But he's good enough to win with in college football. We should be much better than we are.

Teams win a lot of games with non-superstar QBs each year in college football. Yet some people on here think we need to replace our entire offense but it has nothing to do with The guy calling plays.

Kaaya is throwing to four future NFL players. We have the same OL as last year. We have the same RBs as last year. Yet everything looks significantly worse. That's on Richt and he is doing a horrific job. I am actually shocked.

Spot on.

This ^

That's why I'm sick of hearing about how immobile he is. Richt is supposed to be the "QB whisperer" with pocket passers.

His offense is fvckin garbage. Utter garbage.

I saw 5 plays tonight. 4 verts (on every 3rd down), Flex wheel route, X corner route, RPO bubble, RPO handoff.

Sure there were a few others sprinkled in, but that's the entire offense in a nutshell.

You forgot the ONE ******* SLANT WE RAN.

His offense choose to completely ignore the short to intermediate middle of the field. It's the most dysfunctional garbage I've witnessed in 30+ years of being a fan.

He havent won a meaningful game in 3 years i know we had golden but maybe he isnt good enough to win in coegr football. Pocket awareness awful, lock onto receivers doesnt go threw his reads, no mobility etc

What is with this "Kaaya lit these boys up last year" bs to blame Richt?

VaTech is a better team than a year before, and thats all it takes for Kaaya to choke like he's known for when playing against teams with an ounce of competition.

Exactly... Lets be real the VT Kaaya has faced thepast 2 years hasn't been the strong VT we have all known... The coastal has been downright awful since 2010. VT hasn't been strong since 2011. Teams in the ACC are better now. Last year means nothing.

Kaaya has played like dog crap this year

Richt should have had the team up for this game.

It's discouraging that they came out flat and seemed undisciplined. Too many penalties and too many mental mistakes. I hope he can turn it around quickly

Another game. Another embarrassing loss. Team has no identity, no fire, no passion. It's over boys the U is no more and never coming back. I hope they fold up shop

I hope you just leave. You've never brought anything worth a crap to any forum I've interacted with you on.

Btw, I thought you were done following this team. What's changed?

Not that simple D. Richt sucks but you and Pete pump so much sunshine about how our players are studs and NFL level guys but it's not there.

Until they get to the NFL and start balling. It happens every year. Every single year.

I agree. But Richt and Kaaya have been equally poor.

Coley catches everything and he's averaging 4 touches a game, unacceptable.

A lot of that is on Kaaya. There were multiple times where Coley was open and Kaaya didn't make the right read. ****, there was a play where Kaaya threw into triple coverage and had Coley in one-on-one coverage.

There's not one single person to blame. The blame should be evenly distributed to Kaaya, Richt and the O-line.

1) The o-line was abysmal again and got Kaaya hit a lot.
2) Kaaya when he had time made really poor throws
3) Richt should be calling plays where we don't have long developing route trees.

Looked like we ran zone running plays which played right into their hands. We should have gone right at them.

Then how did the guy do enough last year as a sophomore to grab the interest of NFL scouts (who had him going as high as the top 15).

We dont have power running backs. We have Coley and Richards but little receiver depth and speed after those 2. We have athletic tight ends who are marginal blockers. We have spread offense personnel but we run a power pro set. it isnt working.

D$ money why do you think Kaaya is god?

I don't think he's God. I think he's better than what we're seeing. If you want an example of what I'm talking about, watch last year's game against VT.

helps having some nfl wide outs

you also need to acknowledge that isn't frank beamer over there anymore

and kayaa wasn't shell shocked like he is now

he doesn't read defenses, he doesn't.. do.. sh*t

Herman was the guy that was hungry and we blew it

This X10000

Zero chance Herman would have left Houston for Miami. He will get 8 million a year at least from some school and we can't get anywhere close to that kind of money. Not even worth approaching him. Butch is radioactive. We needed a coach who understood what it takes to recruit Miami so that means a "Miami guy." Schiano probably gets the nod if Richt hadn't been available. Richt showed you a glimpse of how it's going to get done when he was at pop Warner games selling the program. No other program is down here engaging with seventh and eight graders. Miami shows them love first way before any other program, they start hanging around the program, and it starts to feel like family and they realize they don't want to live thousands of miles away anymore. That's what the state of Miami means. In a head to head competition with FSU or Bama for a coveted senior, we lose that battle more often than not. When they have been wearing your gear since eighth grade, you tend to get those kids, who also truly love the program even when it's down. Richt knows this which is why he will be successful. He'll get enough talent in a few years that he'll win even if he's not a great coach. It just might take four or five years and our fan base is too **** impatient to realize that Richt knows how to recruit miami and needs a little time.

F*ck the we needed a"Miami" guy approach. We needed a COACH. Give me someone who can scheme and develop talent over someone who just knows how to recruit south Florida every day of the week. I promise you the program would be way better off.

And regardless who the coach is,BK freezes in the red zone.

He led the ACC in TD passes as a true freshman.

He did, and he'll play on Sundays.

But right now, he's shook - like Cougar in Top Gun.

Park him, let him get ****ed, and THEN let him play again.

This team doesn't get ****ed. This team doesn't hate losing.

Coach doesn't seem to either.

At least Butch had passion - and his players did too.

Interesting that people are blaming Kaaya solely when:

1. He's getting hit, hurried, or sacked on about 35 of 48 dropbacks
2. We want him to get rid of the ball quickly, but we have slow developing routes. Palmer even alluded that our receivers are not looking back for the catch while Kaaya is getting hit
3. When we do get the ball out quickly, it works....really well. But seldomly run these quick hitters.
4. Oh by the way, we lead all power five in drop percentage.

It's Kaaya, it's the receivers, it's the O-Line, it's the playcalling. It's the entire offense as a whole. It's the execution, period. That's on Richt and his offensive staff. It just seems like we don't have the offense that plays to our strengths. We have a 280 lb bulldozer at FB and we fail to use him. We have an immobile QB, but try to run a RPO. We have a sure-handed, ultra utility TE in Herndon but call his number seldomly. Our speed guys aren't given much to work with with longer routes. We have a weak OL but fail to get the ball out of our QBs hands quickly. OH, did I mention, why the **** we don't run behind our FB more often?

There's only two people on offense I can't knock, and that's Yearby and Herndon.
