"this is not Mannys defense"

So up until last week every was saying "this isn't Mannys defense". Then last week "it was Mannys defense thats why we won, and our defense is back on track". So are we expected to believe after last weeks performance, Manny just handed the reigns back to Baker? Or was that Mannys defense that let GT put up the highest amount of points against a FBS team this year. Temple held them to 0 points offensively.

This seems like Manny defense alright.

When we shutdown the pass we get gashed on the ground for like 200 yards and when we shut down the run we get torched through the air and give up like 300 yards passing. People then try to convince themselves these trash *** teams played that way because we were their Super bowl.

That what is infuriating. We go into a game against a team below average at passing or running then we get completely burned.

The defense got shredded in OT. They were getting passed and ran on all game. This is the same defense that couldn't move the ball against Temple. The defense was pathetic.
 
The twitter fan base, aka the millennial fans, are so clueless as to what a real Miami D looks like that they thought manny’s feast against the least, get *** raped against good teams defense was some sort of amazing system.

For anyone who thinks Manny was An elite DC, he probably ranks 7th or 8th in terms of DCs we have had since ‘83. Lubbick, Wannstache, Olividatti, Shannon, Schiano, Tubberville, and Bill Young all certainly had way better careers and single seasons than Manny has. I’d put Manny above Lovett, Walton, Dorito, and Bill Miller. When you put it in that persoective and realize that none of the coaches who were way way better than him won As HCs, you begin to see just how weak of a hire this was.

Don’t ever remember a Manny defense play a 250lb DE at NT in a 3-4 defense or a walk on at LB. This was completely ridiculous. People wonder why we got gashed by Mason all night. I get we did this because our secondary and LBs can’t cover anyone. Still, it would’ve been better to line up with Nesta and Ford to completely shut down the run.
The lack of recruiting talent and numbers by Dumph, Panda, and Patke is really showing now on defense. Baker isn’t helping the matter.

All very true, which is why I’m so frustrated....especially the no points in the red zone!!!
Of all the issues we have, IMO, red zone scoring is number one. We have to be one of the worst red zone scoring offenses in all of FBS
