It’s possible but Auburn choked in that game and only finished 5-7. How could they justify that after ND crushed Stanford?Bama is out with a loss if they are ranked 10th tonight
Wonder if the committee moves them up to avoid that happening
Find out tonight
The fact H2H is not the first tiebreaker shows you college football is ****ed. Including TV ratings in their decision-making will be the downfall of the system in the long run if they choose to go down that path. The only thing giving me a very small sliver of hope is that the Committee’s only possible reason now for ranking ND ahead of Miami is the "eye test." Is that really the precedent they want to set? There’s no other explanation. They’ll have to own it.
The much simpler and more logical approach is to state: after evaluating all 12 games, and considering Miami's dominant win over another common opponent last week, we must honor the head-to-head result and rank Miami ahead of ND.
I know this isn't groundbreaking. I know they likely won't do it. But ******* come on.
Technically no, AP writers and coaches had them ranked at the beginning of the year. The playoff committee didn't start meeting until the beginning of November. Its all silly that pre season rankings had Texas, Penn St, LSU, Clemson top 10
These same people are now choosing the playoff

I think the committee has the justification to leave them and let them play their way in.
What’s the jistSark was just on the radio campaigning hard for TX. Without intending to do so, he made a very strong argument for Miami

Have been saying for the past year...We should join the Big 12
Agreed! We're no better off in the ACC as far as respectability and the B12 refs can't be more biased against us than the ACC tards are.We should join the Big 12
Consider me won over. I'm done. Let's just join the B12 and see if anyone else follows us. At least their commissioner gives a ****.Have been saying for the past year...
Is coach doing anymore TV hits today? I forgot what happened in the FSU-Bama game and need him to remind me

He basically said that the committee is fraudulent if it doesn’t follow its own published principles, the most important of which is head-to-head followed by common opponent performance. He reiterated, over and over, that if head-to-head is not the prevailing consideration, then all the programs will immediately stop scheduling big time out-of-conference games. He said that very little weight should be given to blowouts against inferior teams. What matters is if you beat your best opponents — exactly what ND failed to do.What’s the jist

line it up
Everybody needs to stop with this statement that the CFP doesn’t penalize losing in conference championship games. It’s not true. Last year, Penn St dropped 1 spot and SMU dropped 2 spots. Did it take either out of the playoff? No. But they did move each team down.
I’ll keep saying, the argument that should be considered is why 5 teams from the SEC should be getting in. Bama has not played real well in November and lost to FSU badly. OU is awful on offense. Miami/ND should be in and 4 should get in from the SEC. It’s still the most teams from any conference.
Lol the SEC-ESPN guy on CNN
It's one big group. Same corrupt people
