i want any and all elite prospects, especially those from south florida. they all aren't going to become stars..that's just the nature of the game.

NOW the REAL posters are starting to think correctly. Why all of a sudden are we showing Lane love? Because the staff must not be getting that "warm" vibe about Dixon anymore. People have said that OSU has been a silent contender for him. And getting Dwyer kids has always been tough. And who knows..Maybe Cook asked the coaching staff about Lane when they visited him. Not likely but for the staff to out of nowhere start beating down lanes door and for Al to be following him on Twitter seems interesting. (notice nobody is talking about QW anymore. LOL! Sorry I had to.)

Him signing the FA papers just killed the notion that he is "just doing the home town team a favor by visiting" and that he is "already signed and sealed to FSU". Kid has serious interest here. I think its gonna come down the the visit and whether or not we can make him feel at home.

Btw, Pete, good stuff bro. Keep it up.
 
I'm no recruiting expert but why are people assuming Dixon is out simply because we are recruiting Lane again? They are two totally type of receivers that bring something different to the table. Everything we have read so far has shown us that Dixon is strongly considering us.

Hurracanes, point taken. But I just dont see where we would have the room. Unless Al is doing a complete overhaul of the roster again. But who is there to cut? DPerry? (Heard people calling out JBlue and DHoilett. That is foolish.) I get that the numbers always work themselves out but something has to give. Maybe the staff dont feel confident in DGriffin qualifying anymore.

agree with this...reading some of the giddy posts around here makes me think i am reading the porstings of a bunch of high school girls. we can't and won't get everyone. we never do. even in the best years. depth charts always play a role no matter what guys say.

I think we get Dixon and that is it (in terms of WR). The only way I could see us taking Lane (assuming there was mutual interest) was that:
We don't get a WR in the class we currently have coming in (Brady or Griffin).

I just don't see Lane coming here.

i don't think ermon lane knows what cook is going to do. in the end cook is going to do whats best for cook or cook's family, not lane and quincy.
 
i will believe that cook cares more about yearby than he does lane. almost feels like lane is trying to ride his coattails. that being said, i woudl take lane. however, i want dixon the most.

getting harder and harder for me to want Lane to be part of this class. Everything that kid says in reference to the U has a negative intention….
