The Tale of Dan Enos: Failure In Numbers

It was reported by multiple reporters in December that he was expected to be named the playcaller at bama. Everyone, their reporters and footballscoop reported the same thing

So ******* what? What prevented Saban from saying Enos is the guy next over and done with?

There are lies, **** lies, and statistics. Yes, the numbers are the numbers, but other people from two of the premier programs in college football, who are surely aware of those numbers, still wanted this guy. Saban doesn't have to rush to pick an OC or anyone else. Heck, he plucked Mario away from us practically right after we had already hired him.

Numbers never tell the whole story. He could've run whatever offense he wanted at Central Michigan? Really? Do u know what kind of athletes he had on the roster? As for the rankings, there are 130 Division 1 teams in CFB. How high should his offenses legitimately rank at a place like Central Michigan? He was above or right around the top half in total offense 4 of his 5 seasons there. He had a stellar offense at Arkansas. Then some not so great ones. Any key injuries those seasons? Terrible defenses that put them behind early and made them trash the game plan? There are a lot of variables we don't know.

He had the same exact level of athlete as the rest of the MAC. Toledo just finished in the Top 20 S&P+ offense AGAIN this year. While breaking in a new QB. What exactly was his excuse at Central Michigan?

Never heard of the guy until i read your post. Ask an admin because that is who had to band him. He wasn't banned by warnings. Like a normal mod can do.

You don’t know who band him? It’s obvious from this thread who it is. It’s just a halfass mod playing favorites.

I like the hire.

I would've liked Yost but this is still a great hire imo.

We've had **** QB play for far too long. Enos will solve that problem.

All i can do is wait and see the results next season. Which at this moment. I am hyped for. Which was the total opposite a few weeks back.

How’s that so?
Both parts of your statement are wrong. To the first, Saban is not cleaning house and even assuming that he was going to fire some on his offensive staff (which would have been ludicrous considering they just rolled out arguably one of the best offenses in college football history), he not only wanted to keep Dan but to promote him. To the second, when the dust settles, people will clearly understand one of the reasons why Dan chose the OC job at Miami over powerhouses Alabama and Georgia.

You know this how? You looked at their rosters during those years? Injuries?

That's like saying Vanderbilt had the exact level of athlete as the rest of the SEC and should make the playoff at least as often as Bama, Auburn, or UGA.
