The only good news

I'm pretty much at the point I don't care what they do with Manny for the rest of the season. His future is already on it's path. Nothing really matters till Blake James is gone. Nobody in their right mind can look at Miami athletics and think it's being well run. Baseball, Basketball, and football are all bad and that's 100% on the coaching these kids are getting. Miami absolutely cannot let Blake James make anymore coaching hires. Miss me with any excuses, the athletic department is terrible and there is one guy responsible for that. Fire Blake James now.

My biggest concern isn't Manny. I think the writing is on the wall there. My guess is we're lucky to make a bowl game. And that won't be enough to save him considering how loud things are right now. It's deafening. Former players. Former coaches. Fans. Boosters. ESPN. Local media. Even f*cking Plies is sick of this sh*t. It's everywhere.

My biggest concern is Blake. It's one thing to fire a HC. It's another to fire the AD. I'm thinking they give Blake another chance. And the cycle will continue.
im not even worried about Blake. its the BOT. Blake didn't hire randy and al. other ADs did. the common link between all these **** hirings is the BOT. Blake could and should get fired tomorrow and it won't make a difference bc the same **** happens no matter the AD or HC.

@DMoney I hate the unraveling and mess that an in-season firing creates, particularly since this isn't the NFL, but at what point does that get consideration? Because it appears that waiting until the end of the season is just delaying the inevitable. ****, maybe some kids get a little charged up from a different outlook and we see an inspired performance or two that can at least make us feel good about what a new staff may inherit.
You fire James and Diaz as early as Monday and signal Miami is now serious about fixing the athletic program. The new AD has no emotional attachment to Larranaga so he has to be on the hot seat as well. Extending him was so Miami. Where was a 68 year old going to go?

look higher than Blake. its the BOT.

We are making it obvious. The crowd, the performance, the record - how can it be more clear?

That stupid, jargon-filled statement from Frenk put the spotlight on his office. Manny is making it easy for him.

That statement, or whatever it was has made Frenk an unknown party to sitting right in the heat lamp.

Do you think that was Frenk setting James up to be fired as a result of failure?

I agree. My guess is we need a Clemson-type destruction. Maybe Mack Brown brings the story full circle.
UNC/NCST gonna run train back 2 back is my guess.. Carolina 2 step on Manny will be the end.. A nice late OVO exit for Manny like Al

Frenk needs to go, need a complete overhaul if this program is going to turnaround. I doubt most coaches are eager to come work for that President after everything that has been in the news lately.

IMO, if they are going to do an in-season firing, now would be the time, considering that we don't play again for 2 weeks. If that is accomplished, at least you give the interim HC some time to re-assemble things and try to get the staff and team as comfortable as possible. The remainder of the schedule has no bye weeks or other breaks.

No no no, that makes too much sense for this admin.

to be fair, no president should get fired bc of athletics. they have bigger **** to worry about. that's the ADs job. BUT, frenk has been absolutely awful as a president too and hes kept Blake in place.

Have Blake fire Manny today and appoint an interim head coach, then Frenk can fire Blake on Monday when he announce Alonzo's hiring.

The minute Blake and Manny get fired the school and football program can immediately start pitching Hope Optimism and Potential to recruits.

The longer they keep the current regime in place the worse off we will be and the bigger the hole to dig out of
