(The) Indiana (Game)

So now that it looks like Indiana is prob the team we are facing what is the gameplan? OSU gameplan?
I think oregon was a super soft team that was super banged up at RB. Down to their 3rd/4th string guy. They also handed indiana 21 pts (pick 6, fumble inside the 5 and another fumble in plus territory). I think miami will be able to match their physicality and hoping for a game closer to Ohio st. I am very concerned about all the guys hurt/banged up on defense....mesidor and moten on the DL. Frederique and Brown at CB and the likelihood that Lucas will miss that 1st half. That could make a huge difference. Really hope we get 2 or 3 of those guys game ready by the 19th. If the team plays smart, limits the penalties then miami has a great shot

Miss me with all that cheating nonsense. No excuses! The difference between us and them is we have been to **** and back the last 7 weeks. Our team is battle tested and ready for war, while they haven’t faced adversity in months. Look at their charming soft schedule…they played one real team all year and were held to 13 pts. I’m not saying they aren’t good or this will be easy, because in an earlier post I acknowledged their receivers are a problem, but I’ll take the Canes all day. We want all the smoke! Let’s go Canes.

Don't forget about the blocked punt

Bro we are Comig off a bad game we’re lost we’re sick. This team is about to destroy these boys form the north. 27-17 type game Indiana scores late to make it closer.

It’s going to be so interesting cause heatherman was cignettis DC at JMU. They know each other and their playbook. Going to be the ultimate coaching matchup especially with Brock giving Indiana all of dawsons plays

Mendoza spoke after their game last night. Gave a short philosophical dissertation. But this is what he said about his role on the team:

""I would say I've come a long way from being in game one," Mendoza said. "Game one, I threw zero touchdown passes. I was trying to be Superman, and then the coaching staff settled me down and was like, 'Hey, you don't gotta be Superman. We have a great defense and great superstars, playmakers and offense, so just do your job.' My job is to be effective with making really accurate balls and really great decisions, and that's what I pride myself on every single play, and so I'm glad those results came."

Pretty much what we ask Beck to do.

Should be a good game.

We gotta bring our A game. Gotta play clean. No turnovers, no drive killing or extending penalties. We can beat anyone but we can't beat ourselves against this team. They are the anti-Miami in that regard as they don't make many mistakes and they don't beat themselves. Its probably a good thing that stuff happened against Ole Miss and now the staff has 10 days to correct those issues. We had been playing clean football up until Thursday.

Beck has to play better. This is it. No more playing to only not throw a pick. If we have one on one shots down the field, which we will, give your kid a chance to make a play. If they don’t and the DB does, tip your cap.

He’s been incredible at playing for us not to lose. He’s been incredible on 3rd down the last 2 games in the short/intermediate game to keep drives going.
He’s been **** good with his legs.

It’s time to show you can push the ball down the field and make big plays in the passing game. Cig is a smart coach, obviously. Indiana is good in the front 7. They’re not going to shut down the run game, but Fletcher isn’t getting 10 a carry like A&M or 6 per carry like Ole Miss. Beck is going to have to win this game for us if we’re gonna do it.

He’s been good enough for us to win, up to this point. He needs to be even better to get #6.

Play our A game and we bring this **** home. I believe it with all my heart. We are better on the lines. It all starts there. If Beck can match Mendoza, we’ll have a parade.

If we play like we did against OSU - no penalties, dominant on the lines - then we can win. Getting some of our key guys back to health would be huge.

They kept saying Indiana hasn't lost a fumble since the first week, and Mendoza doesn't throw incompletions much less interceptions. So let's see what happens if / when our defense forces a couple turnovers and gives Indiana some adversity to deal with. I'm envisioning a strip sack and a pick.

They are a clean team, however just remember that Trinidad only threw 3 picks all year and our guys realistically could’ve had 4 interceptions last game lol

Our D is legit

Their advantage is they’re loaded with older kids. Their average age is close to that of Green Bay. Boise State and BYU would do this every so often.

they are impressive and clearly a machine

but oregon handed them 21 points and then gave up
i know the excitement of the blowout from the national media ... but that's not reality ... oregon was historically bad due to self inflicted wounds ... it was a cautionary tale that we have to protect the football ... but this idea that they're the seam team that featured odell beckham, joe burrow, and justin jefferson is a reach
