Mendoza spoke after their game last night. Gave a short philosophical dissertation. But this is what he said about his role on the team:
""I would say I've come a long way from being in game one," Mendoza said. "Game one, I threw zero touchdown passes. I was trying to be Superman, and then the coaching staff settled me down and was like, 'Hey, you don't gotta be Superman. We have a great defense and great superstars, playmakers and offense, so just do your job.' My job is to be effective with making really accurate balls and really great decisions, and that's what I pride myself on every single play, and so I'm glad those results came."
Pretty much what we ask Beck to do.
