What this thread is all about:

Since the offseason is long, I got plenty of time to count down to kickoff. With each day I will post a picture of a player that wore the jersey of the corresponding day remaining. Some players you will recognize...some you won't. Some players will be all-time greats...some won't.

Let me know if you think the player who shows up in the countdown best embodies that jersey number (who do you think of when you think of #5?). Would you have chosen someone else? What's your favorite memory of said player? What's your memory from the game the picture comes from?
