So of the 21 commits only 4 have not been mentioned at some point for making head turning plays. That’s extremely impressive considering those 4 also play positions that usually take time to pop and one of them has been injured.

True. But I'm buying stock in this class. I thought they were underrated back in December, then nearly all of them came in early and worked their asses off during Spring camp, S&C and PLPs. They're overall smarter and harder workers than, just have a different ethic, and they're leaning into Mario's culture.

lol, lies. There has never been a class, since I have been on this board, that was so called underwhelming on signing day, to now have this much buzz once on campus, and if you’re honest with yourself, you would agree with me.

I swear some of you guys, just refuse to allow yourself to be excited about this football team lol.
 
Love to hear it.

Had high expectations from the jump out of Lowe, Wiley, SJ, Schott, Toney, Antione, and Buchanan. Felt very confident those guys would be High Quality starters here at some point.

But Really like the potential of Nickel, Fitzgerald, Pringle, Josh Moore, Scroggins, and Donta Simpson.

I always expected Campbell, Newton, Wilkerson, Marcelin, Gilbert, Amari Wallace, and Upshaw to take like 2-3 years before I'd expected any production.

The 2025 Class was really only missing DT and another Safety. It's putting a lot of weight on the 26 class to hit a homerun at DT and Safety imo. We really should have signed at least 3 DTs... but oh well...

If Bryce Fitzgerald can be a good tackler and be our safety of the future, that is actually massive ngl. Dude is hella skilled and athletic. That's really my only hesitancy with him and why I was saying it'd be better for him to just go to offense. Well that and the portal CB haul we landed. Cause even with the tackling issue I would love him at CB. But with this portal haul the depth at WR was worse. But man if he can make it at safety, that's great for us for next year 100%

Each incoming class has gotten hyped like this since Mario got here. The fact that this class was unheralded doesn’t change that fact.

Yep! I remember that game against VTech I think it was his freshman year, he hit the RB so hard he knocked his shoulder out of place, my guy was on the sideline **** near crying

Chris Ewald has a chance to play in the nickel because he’s so smart. Girard Pringle is running tough for his size and has track speed. And the most impressive player might be Bryce Fitzgerald- if he tackles at all he will be a difference maker.

This isn’t an exhaustive list, but I just wanted to highlight some recent standouts. I feel much better about this group now than I did in December.

I was just thinking today, these 25 DB's look really good. I expected this 25 class to look good and they do. Lot's of promise.

Bryce Fitzgerald was my favorite recruit in this class for that reason. The only qualifier I had with him was the tackling. This is why I have been waiting for Fall Camp to see if he can tackle because if he can............then this kid will be Special!

The Postmaker strikes again! It seems like this class has indeed brought a much needed infusion of speed and twitch and together with the portal class plus the 2nd year players from the 2024 class has galvanized the entire rooster.
 
I don’t mean to **** in the Kool Aid but Mario just spent a billion dollars of other people’s money completely rebuilding the secondary. If Fitzgerald sees any meaningful time this year, we should be asking why all that money was spent on people not as good as an 18 year old and why that money wasn’t better spent on an outside WR and DT

I don’t understand your point at all. Dmoney just gave us positive reports on freshmen players, and your take away is to be criticism of other positions?
I swear some of you just look for every possible negative, and when you can’t find a negative, you think about ways to turn positives into negatives

Let’s explore the logic in the second statement, which is effectively what you wrote. How in the world would Mario know that a freshman, especially the ONLY freshman who did not report in the Spring, would be this good??? And considering that we are still discussing a freshman after the abortion of a season we had last year at safety, would he or any other coach with even a single brain cell, really expect to rely on a freshman???

The answer to both of my questions is so obvious that I am still baffled at your post. All it tells me is that you have an agenda and wanted to make a point about WR and DT, and needed an excuse to make that point. But you did not evaluate how you would make that point. The result was a poorly made point.

And yeah I am picking on you and it’s well deserved, but your post is simply emblematic of too many others on CIS. Always looking for a way to pis* in the kool aid just because someone in life pis*ed in yours.

This is why I should never post after midnight. I take out an entire day of annoyance on one poster.
