The Class of 2025

Contrast the above to 2023. Hit Top 3 but missed the next 4. Only 6 hits overall after three years, only 3 TBDs left, so close to being fully baked. Unless all three of Bruno, Carver and Bobby turn into All Americans, that is not a #8 class upon post-college re-evaluation.

Maigoa -- Hit
Samson -- Hit
Bain -- Hit
Wayne -- Miss
Riley Williams -- Miss
Ray Ray -- Miss
Stafford -- Miss
Fletcher -- Hit
Bryant -- Leans Hit (but won't start at Miami)
Brown -- Hit
Popo -- Hit
Robby -- Miss
CJ -- Miss
Bobby -- TBD
Josh Horton -- TBD and transferred
Kinsler -- TBD
Kirk -- Miss
Emory -- Wash (leans hit given what we expected)
Carver -- TBD
Spencer -- Miss
Tripp -- Miss
Pulliam -- Miss
Tinbilau -- Miss
Freeney -- Miss
Honestly Riley Williams would have been a hit if he stayed. He was a great blocker and had receiving capabilities

Now that the season has concluded, I’ll say I feel the most encouraged about this class than any other class Mario has signed. Bottomline, there are just more significant contributors from this group on a CFP worthy team. I also think Malachi (obviously) and Fitz have AA ceilings. Pringle was bumped up in my book too after the Pitt game. I needed to see more against a competent defense, and he played very well. He is a clear difference maker on this level and the most impressive thing about him is his toughness given his size. He gets tough extra yards, and he doesn’t look a pound over 175. I won’t go over every player as I’m sure there will be plenty of time for that but I really like the early returns. We must keep developing and elevating the competition for these kids.

Agree. I feel much better about the 2026 roster sitting here in December of 2025 than I did about the 2025 roster in December of 2024. And we know there will be a lot of moving pieces, both in and out. QB obviously being massive domino #1. But the young talent on this team is exciting. I'm sure it'll come out at some point but I can't wait to see those "snaps played by true or redshirt freshmen" numbers. I can't imagine there are other teams this good playing this many young kids, especially at skill positions. We ran a play last week in non-garbage time with Pringle, Toney, Moore, and Upshaw on the field at the same time.
