This is confusing. I thought Taylor announced he was going to 147, but relinquished 3 belts to stay at 140, to avoid the mandatories and set up the re-match. Then the re-match was set for March, but he got hurt. OK, so then you set a new date for said re-match, right? Or you scrap the whole thing and go to 147, as you said you were going to do. But now he's not doing the re-match (at least next) AND not going to 147 AND fighting Teo?

And how is Lopez still in anyone's top 10 at 140? I know he's a name, and a big talent two years ago (and two divisions ago), but what is the point of this fight? Just to use Lopez' dwindling name to boost Taylor's as Taylor embarrasses him and then goes to 147? I really don't see much of a bump for Taylor if that happens. Or, and I doubt it, if Taylor loses, what did this series of moves get him other than a quick road to obscurity?

A very weird dude with a fascinating career. Things that always stuck out:

Tried so hard to be a "Mexican" fighter, for marketing purposes, early in his career. But wasn't.
Tried so hard to be a crossover boxer. Remember those VHS workout tapes and all the posters? He'd have loved coming up in the social media age.
Made his early rep on fighting names that were clearly past their primes. Remember Chavez Sr.?
Then fought anybody and sometimes was truly great.

Apparently, but not my money.
Next big fight Im looking forward to is between Plant and DB. I believe that one is Showtime Pay Per View. Will you watch that one at home or go out? May have to hit up the sportsbook for that one. Desert Diamond has a pretty sweet sportsbook here in the West Valley. Not Vegas by any means but it's pretty bad *** for a local spot. Good crowd of people too. Everyone is respectful and friendly to one another. It's a great time.

DAZN lost me when Canelo/Bivol was a DAZN PPV. I thought the whole point of paying for DAZN was to get such fights as part of the annual package.

In looking at upcoming content I see some things I'd watch, but none I'd pay for individually. So, basically, the new model is charge me a ton for filler and then charge me separately for quality content. Pass.

It was. The original plan was to kill pay per view. It was one of the selling points in their marketing. Somehow, they miscalculated and here we are.
