This is the tackling technique we need to re-instill within these boys. They've been so used to tackling bouncing exercise balls, it's time for them to start tackling tackling dummies, weighted tackling machines, and real people like the good ole days (or like other top notch programs are doing today).

Who was Marvin Washington? I remember Marvin Jones, but that was a few years earlier and we had a guy named Barrow who had some MONSTER hits himself. Vanover hit, some receiver from PSU and Richie Anderson on the 4th and goal in '92 I think. I think we got the better side of that trade.

I was at at that Rose Bowl. I remember being in disbelief at how those jerkoffs with the corn husks on their heads thinking they were going to run right over us even after they had been embarrassed by f'ing Colorado. Ahhh, good times.

Check that, the second one I referenced was a screen vs FSU during WRI. Also, Hurley Brown blowing up William Floyd during WRI was a thing of beauty. Hurlie will always be one of my favorites due that play. Personified the difference between the Canes and FSU back then. All attitude.

I was at that game and that hit was made even better by the fact Vanover took the opening KO to the house up the left sideline for a TD... only to have Barrow MIB him and erase it from his memory with that hit
brett romberg told a story about the tight end who got rocked on that tackle. apparently he suffered a concussion as a result of that hit and walked into the locker room after the game was over and asked his teammates, "Hey, did we win the game?"

**** I miss the days when they let us play real football. Just light somebody's as up just for looking like they wanted to touch the ball. Now we watching touch football now because of all these defenseless receiver and helmet to helmet BS penalties.
