I think Miami gets to a top-five class ranking over the next two weeks and then closes on a few blue chip prospects at signing day to hit the mythical 300 class rating and clinch a top-three finish.
That’s point. If he’s done all of that, and is not landing the top tier guys, when is a change made? Mario’s track record here shows he’s not going to accept recruiting below his expectation level. We can keep finding reasons why he’s not landing them, and maybe another good offensive season this year makes it easier. But at some point, he has to start winning some of these battles. What else do U think he can do? He has developed the guys. So what more do they want to see? Before they start choosing us?
Kind of hard to recruit against LSU, all they do is put out 1st round talent, year in and out.We need to have a conversation about Beard’s recruiting because how does a team have the #1 offense then struggle to land top WRs
Watching yall fold on KB like something has changed in the last 4 months is wild. Where was this at before?
I said 4 months ago sir. During spring the alarm bells were silent. I was questioning his recruiting, but that certainly was far from the consensus. #1 offense and All-American WR were the talking points at that time. This is revisionist history.
Go back to all the threads around his hiring.
Some of us were sounding the recruiting alarm from day one.
That's a firable offenseIt’s no wonder we ain’t bringing in the elite guys at WR. Look at this effort!
Doesn't help that two of the most popular and best WR in the NFL are LSU Alums.Kind of hard to recruit against LSU, all they do is put out 1st round talent, year in and out.
you win...I was making a joke...where you think our best wr was from last year on the #1 offense?.
3 of the the top 10 wrs in the ncaa last year were from s.fla.......And Restrepo was #13. smh
Jacorey Brooks and Oronde Gadsen also in the top 40 man this aint gonna go your way with me.
I’ve never seen someone kick their own *** before
You really are someone not to play with
I hesitated posting that because I actually genuinely agreed with the point you were makingI am using him as an example. Needs to be someone at his level recruiting-wise. They cost lots of money. It’s worth the investment. The poster I responded to said Tee Martin. Maybe he’s more realistic.
It's like going to a fight and a hockey game breaking out! This is my favorite kind of CIS thread. Pages of people going back and forth fighting over nonsense with a few on-topic earnest posters sprinkled in the middle. Makes me laugh every time.
Restrepo going undrafted due to his 40 and then signing with the titans and having Cam in his corner while he shines in mini camp is the best thing to happen to a Miami WR in a long time lolHe would have been drafted w/out having that 40 time, but never in the 2nd or 3rd rd.
The DL is not undersized. The point still remains. We're in year 4 of Mario and have depth issues on the DL with a key point of contention being that we're undersized.
I don't think this situation is dire because this is pretty much par for the course amongst even elite programs. Everybody wants to get bigger.
But we really only brought in 1 interior guy last year and this year, there's not a true space eater we're all in on which is concerning.

Agreed. Our top 5 guys are all 300+ lbs. The problem isn't size - it's depth. There's no one behind those 5 guys. We have no room for error there with regard to injuries. The DL is not undersized.
To bad Anthony Campbell couldn’t get one more yearAgreed. Our top 5 guys are all 300+ lbs. The problem isn't size - it's depth. There's no one behind those 5 guys. We have no room for error there with regard to injuries.
