Someone on Tennessee's staff told me about Jarrell Chandler and Miami like 2 weeks ago. Shocked about that because he's always been seen as a Vol lock and adding Knowles and Poindexter on that staff made me think that even more.

Apparently he's hit a growth spurt this spring and is up to around 6'3 210.... I never saw him as a LB and probably still don't even at that size. Interesting.

I don't keep up with HS ball and recruits like I used to and have only seen him in person 1 time but I'd prefer him staying at Safety.

Players in the South have heard their whole lives how the sec is where the real players go. Some kids no matter how good Miami is will go to the SEC. Keep recruiting players from the Midwest and North that don't give two craps about the sec. We have cleaned up in Midwest. Keep it going.

We're about to enter the heart of recruiting season for the next three months. Here is the latest from the Hecht:

- While Texas A&M should be considered the favorite, Miami remains in contact with OT Mark Matthews (St. Thomas Aquinas). The Canes are also in contact with OT Oluwasemilore Olubobola (Jersey City, NJ). Both of those situations could move fast.

- In terms of the big name guys, communication is particularly strong with CB Gabe Osborne (Oklahoma City, OK) and DT David Folorunsho (Chicago, IL).

- One name trending for the Canes that the staff loves- DT Ezekiel Ayangbile (Houston, TX). He is the son of former Pro Bowler Duane Brown.

- The Canes are looking for a second TE to pair with Demarcus DeRoche (Cardinal Gibbons). Things have cooled with Anthony Cartwright (Detroit, MI) and Jaxon Dollar (Charlotte, NC) remains a longshot. One name to know- 6'5, 220-pounder Jordan Karhoff (Columbus, OH).

- Ty Keys (Poplarville, MS) and Brennen Lacey (Dallas, TX) remain the names to know at running back.

- Two hyper-athletic, multisport names at LB that have Coach Hetherman's attention: AJ Randle (Raleigh, NC) and Jarrell Chandler (Knoxville, TN).

- The Canes hit at West Boca last year with Javian Mallory, and are looking to go back to the well. DT Jamar Thompson remains a strong option, and the staff loved their in-person view of CB Loia Valade, who moved to South Florida from Tennessee. He is a legit 5'11, 180 with verified 4.4 speed. Keep an eye on that name.

- The Canes continue to big-game hunt at DE. All the top names remain in play, with Jabarrius Garror (Mobile, AL) recently joining the mix. They are looking to make a splash at this spot.

The whole time I was tryna hype up Jaxon Dollar and said he needed to be priority I was told the staff favors Cartwright and that is where we are leaning.. Now things have cooled?! WTF, you have to be joking fr.. No words..

Dollar was never realistic, that was just the easiest way of saying it and keeping everyone clicking.

Not realistic or we didnt value enough.. We barely seemed to go after him, of course the position coach who sucked finally has a prospect that he has ties to family but leaves prior.. smh.. He just seem like a player we could of made a move for.. Oh well..

I still dont know why the position is neglected overall, we didnt even grab a talent in portal to help..

That'd make him the 3rd fastest CB at the NFL Combine and doesn't add up to his posted 100m being a 10.9 and 11.19. Which uncle verified this and on what stopwatch?

the sky's not falling and I trust Mario will always close... but **** we about to run out of excuses for recruiting... We've already ran through...
- Miami doesn't have any facilities
- Miami doesn't have any money
- Miami can't recruit because we don't win big anymore

down to: our Conference sucks

I actually think that's the negative recruiting being used against Miami. We all know it's BS but if Matthews falls for that I really don't want him at Miami.

This is what I think is happening. These guys will find out this is no longer the case sooner or later.

You need to email Mario directly. D$ and Pete are actual Psy-Ops working for the $EC. When you push recruits on here, they use their magic algorithm to pump that info to the cloud where it's then dispersed to the 16 members of the $EC. It just means more.....

I think the fact that Indiana just won a national championship with a team made up of mostly unknown transfers and UM also beat multiple teams consistently ranked in the top 5 in recruiting shows there might be a different way of doing business. And we narrowly beat an Ole Miss team that was made up of mostly transfers in the semi final game (which also beat teams that regularly rank as the top recruiting schools). Seems to me the way to win is put your biggest chunk of money towards elite, proven transfers, and then hit on player evals of high upside HS recruits (Bain, Toney, etc) . Maybe 2025 was just statistical outlier, but I think its was the culmination of where cfb was trending.
