Sellers has a stronger arm, but his decision-making and accuracy leave a lot to be desired. Leavitt reminds me of Riley Leonard. I would pass on both in search of a more accomplished passer.Sellers is a much better passing QB than that stinking pile of garbage Leavitt. Dude is like a poor mans Tim Tebow. Can't throw worth crap. Wildly inaccurate and they don't ask him to do much.
Bailey behind our line would be tremendous. Basically Beck but with a bigger arm and when it's not there he can just take off. But he can sit in a pocket and hit open receivers.
With a kid like Sellers, the ceiling is probably higher but you have to change your entire offense to tailor it to his skills. Do we have the personnel to run what we need to run with Sellers? One thing I'll say is assuming Dawson is still here, he did have Clayton Tune running all over the place his last year at Houston.
But I think Bailey is a much more natural progression for what this offense wants to do. Big arm, very accurate, and wants to sit in the pocket and throw the ball first and foremost.
We already run a heavy RPO offense...just can't tell because Beck hardly ever pulls it. Sellers is killing teams if they crash as hard as they do against Beck...but we saw last year with Cam, that teams simply WON'T crash that hard (after watching Cam embarrass UF's defense and walk to the sideline...Sellers will improve our run game overall, but will he be another Mike Norvell/FSU QB when it comes to passing the ball? Sellers is someone I can see excelling at FSU if they keep Norvell.
Why do we even recruit QBs, if we can't develop them, and all we are going to do is dip into the portal.Bailey behind our line would be tremendous. Basically Beck but with a bigger arm and when it's not there he can just take off. But he can sit in a pocket and hit open receivers.

Yes. We need a polished downfield passing QB to take advantage of our power running scheme and make teams pay for putting DB's in the box. Leavitt is a terrible choice, Sellers is slightly better.Sellers has a stronger arm, but his decision-making and accuracy leave a lot to be desired. Leavitt reminds me of Riley Leonard. I agree, but it's got to hurt you, when you are recruiting the top-notch ones.I mean, we don't recruit the really expensive ones.
Elite accuracy is probably one of the hardest to "teach".If it’s those three I lean Bailey too. I’m a big accuracy guy.

We’ve been recruiting mostly development/projects that’s why, we haven’t spent big $ on HS QB & ironically the best Qb we’ve recruited out of HS so far under Mario happens to also be our best WRWhy do we even recruit QBs, if we can't develop them, and all we are going to do is dip into the portal.
**whispers**Completion percentage is one of the most misleading stats to judge QB play by.
It's easy to complete at a high % when all you're doing is dinking & dunking.
There’s ppl here who still think Beck is elite & Mario/Dawson are holding him back, they say any QB would look bad under this regime even Mendoza….Regardless of where he’s from he’ll be around 70 percent completion percentage , 3000 + yards and 20 + TD.. I think some people here overrate hometown guys and some devalue them just to be contrarian. If Bailey was from say Pa and putting up these numbers at NCSU in his second year most would be on board. That said I’m not sky high on the guy but he’s better than Beck especially when he’s 3 years younger carrying more of the load.
I never got the Beck excitement . He is what he is. A pretty good starter that’s great or famine . When he’s hot he can be elite , when he’s off he’s dumpster juice. That’s what he’s always been. Hopefully we can ride the good out through the playoff. There’s ppl here who still think Beck is elite & Mario/Dawson are holding him back, they say any QB would look bad under this regime even Mendoza….
