What a shock. We tried to be more "aggressive" last night and ended up with one of the worst defensive performances in UM history against a garbage offense.

Miami style defense!! they were dictating!!

This. So many jerk themselves off to potentially switching to a 4-3 or to a more aggressive defense, but they don't understand that the guys running the defense can't coach worth a ****. Its not just the scheme folks, the coaches suck. Whether its a 4-3 or 3-4 or if its aggressive or passive, it doesn't make a difference. Golden and Dorito are terrible defensive coaches and week in and week out the games reinforce it, yet people just can't wrap their heads around it.
 
Basically what happened in this thread was Macho watched the equivalent of a father and his 5 year old son playing basketball. Father was going all out and Macho was so impressed by the father's skills he thought he could play in the NBA.

What Macho didn't realize was that, there was a massive talent disparity between the 30 year old dad and the 5 year old son. Rather than acknowledging this blunder, Macho dug in and now looks like a complete idiot.

No, what happened was, Macho saw a more aggressive game plan and jumped to conclusions thinking that we were taking a new approach on defense this season, not realizing that we would resort back to our old ways.

Then after that, a bunch of life-less internet trolls jumped on the "know it all's" ******* because he was "wrong" about something and this was finally their opportunity to get "one up" on another person of the male gender. (for once in their life)

This is good though. This will give them something to do for the rest of the season when we suck on defense. We can bump this thread after every game.

This should be a sticky post on this site that everyone should be forced to read.

This idea that "if only we ran press man and shoot the gaps we will win" is nonsense. We are a horrendously corched team in every phase. These guys are CLUELESS.

Yep. Golden and Dorito won't suddenly be able to field a competent defense just by changing the "scheme."
