That was entirely on Rosier

He hits half of those throws he airmailed we blow them out. They dared Rosier to bear them and he wet the bed

Exactly...Brent Venerables will do the same thing next week with better talent.

I think so too.

Narduzi laid out the blueprint on how to beat Rosier.... now other teams with more talent will copy it. Rosier is done.

Hopefully we make the switch this offseason to Perry or someone else.

Leave Richards and Thomas wide open 30 yards downfield and hope Rosier doesn't hit them?

Solid blueprint.

Rosier did not play his best, but IMHO this has as much to do with the OL and DL just getting absolutely physically dominated at the point of attack. Especially the OL, no push, free rushers in the backfield all day long.

Nah. If Rosier hits on a quarter of the deep balls it would have opened up the run game. Instead he couldn't connect on a single one while they dared him to the entire game.

Rosier shouldn’t have to make those throws to beat Pitt or many of the teams Miami squeaked by this year. He was awful. If he completes those passes, they’re TDs. But the OL has to be blamed. How come Miami can’t run? Searels!

You can't speak about the fact we have no run game. That blows the agenda out the water.

Malik is not a great QB and it isn't a secret but to not have a shred of a ground game outside of the QB is pathetic.

Its difficult to run the ball when the defense is stacking the box. Common sense ppl...

Just feels like we don't do things to help him. Reverses, jet sweeps, put Richards on the other side, Flee flicker, half back pass, crossing patterns, shovel pass. Offsense isn't good enough to just line up. QB has limitations but you have to leave it all on the field.

That's play calling.

Was the box “stacked” when Pitt ran the bootleg? Do you think teams try to stack the box on UGA or AL? Navy? GT?

You have to admit that Miami’s OL has not pushed much of anyone, consistently. Take away the homeruns and Miami is shut down game in and game out.

That’s not necessarily true. Rosier has hit on some of these in the past and the offense still couldn’t run. Rosier was awful, but OL was the same OL we’ve seen all year long.

Our run block scheme has been a mess since they got here. They get a push on no one, literally bethune had guys penetrating. Our run game schematically is a mess. Ive been saying it going on two years..

We lost this game in the trenches. (borrowing the OP line: Anyone who doesn't see this is a fool)
The commentators summed it up at the end of the game. You are blind if you didn't see their freshman QB pushes our defender with shear energy and determination. The kid looked like he is one of the strongest men on the field.

Yeah but why we need to analyze anything if we have an easy target of a QB?

Best Olineman this year by a country mile has been Donaldson. Hopefully Richt and co continue to recruit at that level.

McDermott and Darling are just plain awful. Gauthier seems to get his **** pushed in on short yardage situations too. The talent just isn't there.

Obviously Rosier won't hit them

There were other problems, notably the shameful OL play and non-existent running game but if Rosier had the ability to hit the side of a barn today we still win this game.

Since FSU our rushing stats go...

GT game - 36 carries - 184 yards - 5.1 ypc
Cuse game - 32 carries - 136 yards - 4.3 ypc
UNC game - 46 carries - 176 yards - 3.8 ypc
VT game - 34 carries - 210 yards - 6.2 ypc
ND game - 42 carries - 237 yards - 5.6 ypc
UVA game - 32 carries - 148 yards - 4.6 ypc

We couldn't run? This is every game since Walton has gone down. I wouldn't exactly say we couldn't run the ball. You are just overreacting to a tough loss. Not surprised...just another soft shouldered fan to add to the bunch. Acting out the best way they know how...making **** up b/c you're all in your feelings.

Anyone who says otherwise is a fool. Yes, he's been clutch this year. But jesus christ he was Kirby levels bad today

He didn't look like Tee Martin today! man, we need tee martin back next week. give us something Malik we know you can, get dialed in young man.

Then I'm a fool...and honestly I feel the same way about you right now. You're a long time poster and better than this. Blaming this whole game on Rosier is borderline asinine.

The O line played like hot garbage. We had ZERO running game.

Rosier is the same guy he's been all season....streaky as ****. Guess what though...that "streaky as ****" is better than anything we've had here in a LONG LONG time.

Let's call a spade a spade. Manny's unit has held up their end of the bargain for most of the year while Richt's hasn't. You want to blame that all on Rosier then that's your thing...but I know enough football to know what I'm seeing. This is the 2nd different QB this offense has had under Richt and I'm still seeing the short middle of the field ignored for large stretches of the game with predictable play calling throw into just for good measure.

I have zero problem with Richt being our head coach...but I'm going to say the same thing I've said for two years now...we'd be a better team with a dedicated OC. It would free Richt up from that minitua and allow him to manage the game from a higher altitude.

But what the **** do I know.

The O line gets their share of this debacle, but yes, Rosier was, dare I say.... Kirbnobyl-esque today.

Throwing players under the bus again I see. (Rosier did play like garbage). This loss is on Richt. Just like the 15 previous wins are on him. Own that ****.

Stupid comment by OP. Every great QB in our history has had off games. When that happens, you have to be able to run the ball. So don't say it's only Rosier. If we could have run the ball it would have taken the pressure off Rosier and slowed down the pass rush.

Lesson: Have to be able to run the ball when the passing game misfires, as it sometimes will. Especially in away games.

I do agree that the O-line wasn’t at its best but they gave him time on many occasions! He missed on 3 open receivers for tds today and if he would have completed some passes to wide open receivers guess what? The pass would have been respected and the run game would have been there for us.
