Tennison decommits

Some of y'all are miserable 😆😆. Tennison decommitted, okay we'll have a few more decommits most likely as well. It happens especially to a mid level teams like us. We will be fine. The kid is a baller but Manny needs to move on. As soon as the big offers come he's unsure of his commitment. Now the staff should be sure that they don't want him or make him beg to get back in the class if things don't work out with other schools.

Some of ya'll go straight to doom and gloom, fire this guy and that guy... y'all funny as ****. Calm the **** down it's April. WE WILL BE FINE!!!! We will not have a repeat of last season once it's all said and done.

Lucky because he turned out to be the guy.
Most highly rated qb’s never see the league.
I’m sure they threw bags at the dude that transferred too. They’re not recruiting at this level if Watson was a bust.
The 2015 acc championship game was against unc.
Unc scored 37 points on that meth junky of a coordinator.
Watson had to score 5 td’s, throw for over 200 and rush for like 130.
So yeah they got lucky AF that he ended up being the player he is.
Did I mention that unc dropped 37 on them?
They still won a title without Watson

Too early in this process to matter. Let the play on the field lure in the commitments. Whoop up on Florida first and then watch them flock in.

But Watson made that team relevant. And gave them. Recruiting edge by going to the finals 2 years in a row. They won title with a guy who’s arguably better than Watson

Actually, it was Tajh Boyd who made them relevant. Watson just raised the bar.

Jobe, Edwards, ***an, Sherwood, Stevenson, Battle, Elam, Nunn, Gant.

These are the misses from his position from 2017-19 only. I’m sure I’m missing some names off this.
It may have a lot to do with the last regime! These kids are not stupid to come to a program that look like it's going to the toilet!! Now let's see this year play out and how he's able to recruit with a better outlook of the program. I'm willing to say he will win his share if we are a winning program this season!

Diaz's plan is to win. Period. We win, dudes will come. The best recruiters cant sell Miami over Clemson consistently, especially after the seasons both teams had.

Kul here was not the greatest recruiter. Relied on 3-4* guys with upside. At Bama, without much more effort, he's getting higher ranked guys.

Winning fixes recruiting. If we start 10-0, we will have a lot of good dudes

Can you list all these programs that had to consistently win, and THEN they started recruiting well?

People think it works like that without much evidence. “First you win at a 4* level, and then the 4* players come” is more like a dream that every lower tier program has. Go to their message boards right now and you will see all of them saying this in their recruiting threads. Yet, the recruiting never comes.

Most to every programs that see a jump in recruiting, sees it right away with a new staff. No winning needed. And that’s because you either have it on the trail or you don’t.

Bama, Clemson. Started winning & then recruiting took off. Bags helped but they weren't like this year 1

2 teams you are referring too, Texas A&M, and UGA. UGA is simply buying everyone they can. A&M pays but has the benefit of Jimbo. Good combination.

Do people really believe this? That if not for Watson, a program centrally located in the heart of the south, that has just spent an ungodly amount of money the last few years on the best recruiters and facilities, would be struggling to bring in top classes?

Wut?
Saban had a Top 3 Class with his first full recruiting class. This was coming off a 7-6 season that included a loss to Louisiana-Monroe.

Clemson recruiting at a pretty decent level. Their elite classes didn’t come from winning, but because they started spending like an SEC program. They basically told the boosters, “get out your checkbooks” and from there they never looked back.

Clemson was in the 247 Top 10 Team Talent Composite the year they won the NC.

The idea that first they won, then they started recruiting at an upper tier level, is just wrong.

They were already stacking their roster.

They won some major games the years leading up that NC. They beat Oklahoma, Ohio State, and LSU in back to back to back years
