Definitely think we would be better off if Johnson was the starter. King is a better athlete and in a close game, a few plays with his legs could be the difference (still expecting our D to show up).

Regardless of outcome I think it’s gonna be a good game.

Flagg might be unplayable in this game.. I think Pitt qb made him look bad, Haynes is athletic if anything else.. Achane is gonna be the most explosive player on the field every time..

We cant chance playing him and him on pursuit because he wont get there..

I’m a football fan and I’m not one of them dudes who scream 12-0 every year. Now calm yo *** and take some that air out yo chest. First off sir I was just fûcking around about the hyping up part based off what u said about the defense. I don’t know what u said about their offense cause I didn’t see it.

And I have no reason to lie on you sir because I was going by what was said about their defense and their qb. I know u was just saying how they looked to u and trying to give sort of a report for people who aren’t familiar with them. Y’all dudes just got to stop being so sensitive

A poster (I think ibisrules) gave the key to the game earlier and it’s tackling. There are gonna be many 1:1 opportunities in space.

If Frierson, JW0, Kinchens, Avantae, Steed, Caleb Johnson, and K4 and the CBs wrap up the entire game, we win.

Theres a lot of delusion here though, I’ve read people saying our roster / talent isn’t far away from the big boys. Which is hilarious. Some must think Mario is a miracle worker or the second coming. Nobody builds a championship team over night , it takes adding multiple players at every position group for years. These loaded teams lose crazy talent every year but don’t miss a beat or still win double figures. High level recruiting over time allows that luxury. That’s how you stay consistent.

If Tvd is close to what we think he is and the team stays healthy we could have a really nice season. But let’s not get crazy.

I can’t speak for every other Miami fan on this board but I myself would never crown or even say a quarterback is GOOD before he’s attempted 100 passes in his college career. Sorry try again. You’re wrong period, stop trying to dance around the subject with all this bllsht you keep typing trying to make it seem like what you said isnt ridiculous.

His defense in MICH wasn’t his, it was Harbaughs.

Every stop DJ Durkin has had (other than MICH) - his run defense degressed by almost 45% - which is why I think a creative run game guy like Gattis will eat him alive.

DJ is also a hard *** in the worse way and that’s how he usually loses his players.

Every stop - other than as an understudy in MICH - he made the run defense worse in year one:

2012 UF - 14ppg | 192 pypg | 94 rypg
2013 UF - 21ppg | 171 pypg | 142 rypg

2015 MD - 34ppg | 258 pypg | 162 rypg

You don’t have to explain yourself bro. Even the most ambitious Cane fan assumes we lose this game. It’s one of the two losses that most can deal with. Most fans think 10-2 is crazy to fathom. So I’ll think beating TAMU this early in the season would be thought of as crazier. Thanks for your insight! And let’s hope for the win!
