No disrespect meant to mike brother. Atleast not ever meant by me. But we all know you offer the best prospects and see where things go from there. In tais case he loves miami & had dreamed about playing for us. Its blatantly disrespectful by the staff to slow play him unless you're just not sure about him as a prospect. As a result hes simply growing resentment to us.

Don't do that bruh... if you're a actual canes fan than please show the staff the credit they deserve. As i tell richt everytime we talk, he directly saved us from football purgatory. As a direct result of that alone, if nothing else they deserve all of our respect... i really don't understand where the entitlement comes from with this fan base. As if we haven't had the last 3 staffs we've had. Whether i myself or anyone else disagrees with the targets we choose, they still deserve our support.

Solid assessment. Agree 100%. Making big progress on all fronts. Still 1-3 years from being elite. Gotta keep our momentum on the field. Nobody’s entitled until you earn it. In the weight room, early runs - in nephew’s case practicing with the QB’s etc. The signs are all pointing to GO CANES though!

this has nothing to do with TP and why or why we haven't offered........but are people actually complaining that we have an offer out and are going all out for one of the very best QBs in the class next year, who comes from NFL bloodlines, has been around the game his entire life, and who has an uncle on this very site saying that the kid has legit interest in coming to Miami?? Jesus this site never seems to surprise me.

Richt is picky with his QB’s. At this point it means nothing until we see how Perry and Williams play. If there is any position to be picky with its QB. You only get 1-2 per class. However on the flip side - it seems like he’s realized he’s made incorrect evaluations in the beginning only to scramble to get “his guy” later. Richt has had success with QB’s in the past tho so I trust him as much as I see what happens in the next 2 years.

The upside is definitely there for Taisun Phommachanh to be the top quarterback in this class but we’ve not seen the Connecticut native up close much and given his competition level, his performances in camps this spring and summer will be telling. Tai's tape is fantastic and I've stated my strong desire for the staff to offer him, but that doesn't mean that MJ Jr isn't an outstanding prospect. This isn't a zero-sum game where only one of them could be worthy.

If you don't see it in MJ Jr.'s tape, then I don't know what I can do for you

How could you not? You have someone, Dee, putting the staff on to a kid that is going to and has blown up and has interest in Miami yet they're so enamored with one kid.

Amen. I try to remind him that constantly and the fact that in life we always gotta work that much harder for what we truly want. He is a 16 year old though too & its easy to get in your ceelings when everyone in the country is blowing this kid up. Yet the one school hes dreamed about going to shows him the least. I try to turn it into a game in his mind but its tough...

But if you look at tais tapes period & you have any questions if hes the truth than football & evaluations just isnt for you... and you cant say well look at the competition. Mike played poor competition in cali & horrible competition in oregon yet no one has that arguement for him. They are both worth an offer. Let it be figured out from there who we accept a commitment from.
