TAC x Patke Interaction

I cannot fathom how anyone posts this under manny’s reign. I also have to laugh that it got any likes. Do you guys watch the games because based on this post im **** near positive you guys don’t. And haven’t for 3 straight years. Should I rattle off how many players have sat on the bench why scrubs above them on the depth chart continue to play? They finally get snaps and prove they were the better option all along. I can almost guarantee this is the exact case with TAC. Anyone defending him not getting ANY snaps and calling it gossip is part of the problem at this point.
No.

Let's take just this year.

All of these freshmen have gotten snaps in meaningful moments this season (meaning, any game excluding Central CT State): Kam, James Williams, Brinson, LT, Brashard, Cody Brown, Jacolby, Avantae, and Arroyo.

Can you argue that some of the kids that have gotten 2nd team reps have seemingly outplayed 1s? Sure. But they're at least getting on the field and getting reps.

Tirek isn't. Clealy, some FR are doing in practice more than enough to get reps. Again, Tirek isn't. The idea that there may be some conspiracy against Tirek but not against all the other 1st year players that have played this year logically doesn't add up.

Hopefully, it's just a case of him needing to learn and hopefully, he becomes a contributor. He's a RS FR. Let's give him time to develop.

I know it's a message board, but engaging in this speculation is silly.

Equally silly is somehow believing that a guy that can't get on the field is somehow better than the folks in front of him. This coaching staff doesn't get the benefit of the doubt, but the likelihood is that he's not doing in practice what he ought to be doing to get PT.

The fair criticism is why guys like Huff, Austin-Cave, etc. haven't seemed to improve. Whether that's on Manny or Patke (likely both) I don't know.
Bro, have you seen the games this season? I know you have and its rhetorical but the corches have publicly stated they played guys over other guys just because they were older or here longer, not based on talent or merit.. We dont play the best players at miami, we play guys the corches feel more comfortable with.. Guys have to get injured for season for other guys to even get opportunities..

NONE of this is message board speculation, this is all verifiable fact straight from hc mouth and he said they made changes when basically he was fired or guys were too injured to play

Not sure if anyone else was by the gate where the players come out after the game, but I was walking up and saw TAC talking to his dad I’d assume and he looked extremely upset and dad was upset as well. They talked a while and then Patke came out and pulled them both by the side and the dad was going OFF on Patke. I couldn’t hear the convo but he was ****ed and TAC looked ****** and had the look of he’s leaving. I’m guessing Ragone getting those snaps put him over. Makes no sense he can’t get any PT with the way the LB play has been all year.
you can see and learn a lot going to road games and being around the team buses where parents and families congregate. A lot of stuff is talked about there...

Cryptic tweet. No bueno

I actually did not read that as no bueno. He is mad, wants to play, knows the only way is up. Seems positive to me. Lets see what happens the next few weeks. A few players pounded their chest then magically got playing time and we started winning.

Also lol at Devin white comparisons. Devin was a top 150 kid, offers from almost everyone (multiple run-ins with cops) and went to LSU. He was a 6'0 260lb RUNNING BACK that ran for 1,094 yards as a soph, 2,287 as a junior and 1,650 as a senior (got hurt).... dude had over 5,000 rushing yards and 81 (eighty one!) touchdowns to go along with over 200 tackles. He was a 2-way stud. I could not find verified #s out of HS but at the combine he was 6'0 240, ran a 4.42 and had a vert of 39.5 with a 4.17 shuttle

TAC while underrated wasnt even a top 500 recruit, offers from schools like Minnesota, WV and Baylor. Was 6'1 203 coming out of HS. had 300 tackles in HS. Dude is a stud in his own right, I am not ****ting on our own guy, but aside from just being a fast LB, I do not see many similarities in play style. His verified HS numbers were 6'0.5, 203 lbs, 4.76 40, 33 inch vert and 4.53 shuttle.

Will those numbers increase in the next 3-4 years? Of course. but to think he adds 40lbs, adds 6 inches to his vert, lowers his 40 by .3 and his shuttle by .4 is kinda setting the kid up for unrealistic expectations.

Forgot to add that Patke is a clown. The fans on here over the summer talking about how cerebral he is and what a great analytical mind he has, lol. He's been Manny's and Baker's guy at LB since Manny arrived at Miami in 2016. How's that going? ... Meanwhile, our STs are dogshyt outside of the kicker and punter whom he has ZERO to do with recruiting and developing.

The reason some of us are weighing in so heavily is the guys in front of Austin-Cave are NOT getting the job done. People want to 9verlook that because we won back to back game.. We've had sub par LB play all year especially at MLB. They are a liability on every pass play.

If the guys in front of TAC were playing well, this wouldn't even be a conversation.

To top it off, this young man has the tools that the guys in front of him just don't have.

Time to develop?! Man have you seen flagg mud feet on the field, wtffff.. play someone else and give them a chance, flagg is a bust, DOA.. This dude is undersized, if you small atleast be fast.. This dude is stiff and slow like some DT tryna stick at lb but too fat but he is undersized, slow and cant make any plays, seen enough!

Yes. Tyrique Austin-Cave. Check out his high school track and field numbers. You can't see most of them without paying, but he ran the 200 meters in 23 seconds indoors and 22.86 outdoors.
Patke and Diaz are going to look like the biggest fools when this young man transfers and becomes a star.
That'd be par for the course...

You’ve seen flashes from TAC in limited action, play him. Huff just doesn’t have it maybe a new staff can get it out of him but whenever he is on field wether special teams or defense he is getting flagged or out of position.

Some people will believe whatever Manny says.

Devin White is 235 as an NFL player and never played a down of college football at 260. Austin-Cave is 225. Ssme height and similar build. As I said in another post, 10 more lbs of muscle and he'll have the same build as Devin White.

You said White was a high school running back. Well, Austin-Cave ran track. He posted 22.86 in the 200 meters and ran the 55 meter indoors, but I don't have his times because I'm not going to pay the website to see them. The young man has speed

So, Yes!!! He has Devin White measurables and the same athletic ability to run sideline to sideline which is exactly what we need.
.

Diaz is a coach who is not confident in himself or his personnel because his scheme does not put his players in position to succeed. And he wasn’t a player himself so he doesn’t realize that a player may not be perfect in practice with no contact but when the lights come on he balls out. He only makes changes when he absolutely has no other option

BULL ****!!! #11 and #44 don't have the physical ability to make the plays that need to be made. We see it week in and week out. They are both liabilities in the passing game and constitantly grade low on PFF with an exception here and there, yet they both keep getting nearly all the snaps.

Diaz was quoted during the season saying Steed and Jennings were getting snaps a large part because they have been in the program a long time and have overcome so much (paraphrasing). Steed has played well enoughfor PT, but I'm sorry,Jennings shouldn't be out there.

Patke and Diaz fell in love with Flagg from the Spring game. He hasn't played to that level a majority of the year. I don't think he has the physical tools to be a starter.

The film doesn't lie. This ain't about Ragone, but that may have been the last straw for TAC.
This is my main problem with Diaz, he gives out PT like a charity. I don't care what a player's gone through quite honestly. Give it to the guy that's going to perform the best.

No fam, Devin White was 260 coming out of HS, never said he played that weight in college. My point is he was prob a 4.5-4.6 guy at that weight, ran for 5,000 yards at that weight. He LOST 25lbs and ran a 4.42. That is BLAZING fast for a LB. You are asking TAC to GAIN 35 lbs and run .3 faster. The times you posted for track, he was running at 203 lbs, in HS. He might be 225 now. I wonder what his 200 time would be at 225, after he added 27 lbs you do not think he lost even a step but instead got that much faster?

Maybe he has long speed, but there are a tonnn of 6'0 235lb players so to say they have the same build is not really anything exceptional.

The reason I pointed out he was a RB was because he was fast and shifty AF, TAC we know is fast in a straight line in track shoes, but he ran **** near a 4.8 at 203 lbs, White was doing that at 260. If you want to say he has White measurable because they are 10lbs apart and the same height, fine no argument. But to me measurables also include things like shuttle and vert, to which they are not comparable.

And again, I do not want TAC to transfer, I think he can be a good LB here and no worse than what we see day in and day out. But to compare him to a top recruit, a top 5!!! overall draft pick and now a top NFL LB is setting the kid up for insane expectations.

I mean, we've seen it with this staff already. They're playing the younger, better talent at positions now because they were basically forced to it by injury. And now we're playing better. But at other positions, like LB, they're playing guys they want to rely on like Flagg or Ragone because they feel comfortable with them there, even thought they're not the most productive. And this isn't a knock on Ragone, he's playing up to his highest level, and that's all you can ask for. But it's clear as day that a majority of these guys are not getting their chance to play, and I don't want to hear **** about how they look in practice. Because we've been seeing Bolden and Hall start over Kitches and Williams for a quarter of the season.
It’s hilarious that all of us that continued to say this year after year kept getting slammed by the slurpers with excuse after excuse. The coaches then are forced to play the younger players and they look much better (overcoming the $hitty *** coaching mostly). But these ***ers still want to trot out upperclassman whenever they can. *** dat… we were right before and we are right again
