@TomGarfinkel: This all gets ripped out including the concrete... Seats will be closer to the field. http://t.co/axGnhLtaTO
This is actually surprising. I think everyone thought they were literally just going to add some more seats, and pass that off as "moving closer to the field". Still, does that mean they are moving all the seats closer?
Well, if you add 8 rows to the front of a section, and remove the last 8 rows, you've just moved all the seats in that section closer to the field. It really puzzles me how people expect to actually move all the seats.
Looking at the NFL stadiums around the country, Sun Life is really starting to age badly. The club level site lines look terrible and there aren't enough of them compared to AT&T in Arlington. It won't be five more years before they're adding another $300m to expand the lower level luxury boxes forward to line up with the overhang and add skyboxes by removing some more of the sideline upper deck.
looks like they are going to lower the field a little and that is how they will add more rows in front with decent sightlines. if you have ever sat in the first few rows there you know what I am talking about. I could be wrong and I am no engineer but that's what it looks like to me.

Pretty sure Sun Life had the furthest distance from the stands to the field of any stadium in the NFL, and I'm sure one of the biggest distances in the NCAA.
Any idea what color the new seats will be? Orange is awful.
At this rate we'll never get a stadium!!! Either way I still support my Canes! I'm at every home game no matter the weather nor the record!
