I attended UM for four years and never, not once did I go to a game. I commuted from Palm Beach County and the drive was too far, especially with limited funds and family obligations, not to mention the parking nightmare. The first UM game I had the pleasure of attending was in the current stadium. I never saw a problem with it other than the fact that it's South Florida and **** hot. I seriously doubt a little shade will help enough.

Looking at the NFL stadiums around the country, Sun Life is really starting to age badly. The club level site lines look terrible and there aren't enough of them compared to AT&T in Arlington. It won't be five more years before they're adding another $300m to expand the lower level luxury boxes forward to line up with the overhang and add skyboxes by removing some more of the sideline upper deck.

@TomGarfinkel: This all gets ripped out including the concrete... Seats will be closer to the field. http://t.co/axGnhLtaTO

This is actually surprising. I think everyone thought they were literally just going to add some more seats, and pass that off as "moving closer to the field". Still, does that mean they are moving all the seats closer?

Well, if you add 8 rows to the front of a section, and remove the last 8 rows, you've just moved all the seats in that section closer to the field. It really puzzles me how people expect to actually move all the seats.

LOL I think that every time I hear the question.

All the fixes will improve SL.. to the point where everyone is happy? Probably not. While it sucks to be in an NFL stadium its hard to complain when NFL cash fixes problems with your game environment. I think in the end SL could become a recruiting asset. Best first steps is moving seats closer, and dark seats. This will be in place in 2015. 2016 will have a roof which will be cool.

One problem I have is redoing the bowl on the sidelines only and not the whole lower bowl. There is going to be an odd juncture where the sidleine bowl meets the corners. There may be a slight "candlestick" issue where seats are not able to view the far side of the field and probably be tarped off or removed.

So dfreshhookup are you working on the project or getting these pics from somewhere else? Not that it matters, just curious if you were "inside" or not. Just find it very interesting to see so thanks for posting.

Not sure why some of these lazy tards in this thread aren't giving you more rep for posting them :KYPOwCc:

Seats are supposed to be closer to the field and a reduction in seats which would help with the vast amount of empty seats.

Remember the stadium is almost 30 years old

looks like they are going to lower the field a little and that is how they will add more rows in front with decent sightlines. if you have ever sat in the first few rows there you know what I am talking about. I could be wrong and I am no engineer but that's what it looks like to me.

Pretty sure Sun Life had the furthest distance from the stands to the field of any stadium in the NFL, and I'm sure one of the biggest distances in the NCAA.

They are actually shifting the skyboxes out towards the field a little bit and bringing the seating down from that level. It will result in more seating closer to the field on the sidelines. However, it will still be further away than most stadiums.

At this rate we'll never get a stadium!!! Either way I still support my Canes! I'm at every home game no matter the weather nor the record!

You may be right it was either Sun Life or the Chargers stadium
