Strength and Conditioning

Oh my god another round of S&C threads.

Ridiculous.

Is it not worth a legitimate discussion?

Did you want to have a legitimate discussion after the Notre Dame game? Or VT? Nope.

Miami fans just love digging at old wounds and looking for an old injury to complain about. Clemson is a freaking machine, assembled over the last 5 years, and we are not. We aren't there depth wise, we certainly aren't there at QB, and we had freshman all over the field and key starters out with injury. Our best slot DB (also a TF) got injured on the first drive. S&C has nothing to do with any of that crap.

All year long we've seen this team win the second half and 4th Q especially. THATS S&C, not getting bullied by a more talented, better built and highly efficient program.

The caveat I'll throw out there is the OL. Searles does nothing for me, but I'll admit teams figured out Malik about mid season and the good ones learned he sucks, so just fill the box and make him hit throws. The OL was overburdened by his shortcomings.

I made a thread after the ND game noting that despite all the positives that fact that we couldn't get pushes on 3rd and short and in the red zone was a big cause of concern for me.

I got called all sorts of names and I'm pretty sure it was locked.

So yes, I did want to have a discussion then, just as I do now.

Fair. I don't remember the thread, but I'll believe you. I think that's a concern, agree completely. I just think it has as much to do with Searles as anything. I really wish there was a way to get Sam Pittman, but alas.

Im my opinion I think the team is just worn out. I think playing 10 weeks straight with no break took it's toll. Especially coupled with the fact we lack depth so the starters have take more reps because the drop off is so significant to the 2nd string.

The lack of a bye was certainly a factor. A few weeks off will serve the team well.

Unfortunately, unless we're playing Wisky it won't really matter.

How much credit can you give on our S&C program when Manny's defensive philosophy is to sub a lot to keep guys fresher?

Are you kidding me?

Have you seen our team ever tire out?

Did you not see physical dominance in other games this year?

Felder and his staff have done a lot in the last couple years.

I've seen enough

it's becoming a pattern now with his staff is it not?

ACL injuries at uga, and now guys are dropping like flies here

on top of that, they're getting mauled

Exactly. We’ve dominated the second half and fourth wuarter under Richt, but a loss here or there and we get chicken**** hot takes from the usual trolls.

Because endurance and strength are exactly the same thing, right?

Just look at tape of Georgia or Alabama and then look at us. We look scrawny in comparison.

You mean the Georgia team that Richt built................Gotcha.

I think y’all need to look that Miami played 12 straight weeks without an bye week..eventually they was gonna wear down and limited numbers plus injuries took its toll on us..we should be healthier and better rested for the bowl game

CMON ppl it’s only year 2 give richt time to build by next year and the year after we’re gonna be bigger and stronger up front and more talented

Although we looked week upfront even against Bethune. Did not dominate the way we should have

As opposed to another round of:

-Rosier sucks threads
-Richt is god/idiot
-Diaz is god/idiot

S&C is a serious question. Guys with 2 years in the program shouldn’t/wouldn’t look fat or weak or thin. UGA, OSU, Auburn, Clemson, Wisconsin and Miami played yesterday and Miami looked the smallest. And, I’m just talking about the kids identified as freshman or sophomores.

You need to stop injecting your personal limitations into these threads.

Clemson bullied us. Not sure if that's S&C or that we didn't match their intensity.

But they pushed us backward with their defense and exploded our ball carriers. And they pushed us forward with their offense. Their offense was consistently getting several yards after initial contact.

50lbs in a Clemson weight room is the same as 50lbs in a Miami weight room. At some point y'all gotta realize that it ain't the S&C

This lol
Actually, it’s not this. It’s physics, it’s math. Power = work/time. The weights and the weighted are obviously moving in Clemson’s weight room and they’re moving consistently.

Not trying to **** on the hurt of being a fan the day after a demoralizing loss, but if we can question Rosier, then we can question S&C. The system > unit.

Some of you guys are special types of idiots.

There was no whining about our players being weak against FSU or ND.

Clemson's/Georgia's/Auburn's/Wisky's/OSUs LBs look like our DL. Never saw a team where it seems like someone is either down or limping off the field after every other play.

We are still too small and too slow. Also, if Donaldson doesn't lose 30 pounds, he's not gonna have a chance to live up to his HS hype. He'd have been a RS at most elite programs. Would any of our OL even make the two-deep at Ala, Clemson, etc?

Now we're too slow too? Just shut the **** up.

The team played 11 weeks straight of football without the depth that other teams have. How much of the OL did Richt recruit? oL takes time to build quality depth. We're forced to throw in a true frosh on our OL. Most big time teams don't have to do that unless he's a pure stud. Navaughn is a stud, but he's still a frosh.

And find me a linebacker that looks like Joe Jack, RJ, Nort or Chad. Please.
