My Friday flight to Palm Beach (supposed to land at 2 PM) is operating as planned. I'd happily take a 2-3 hour delay so long as they don't cancel the game or move it to Tampa!

More importantly, for all of you that may be in the storm's path, be safe!!!

Quick update. I'm in south miami. Beautiful outside. Birds chirping this morning. They'd be long gone if storm was headed this way.

Yup, Key Largo was fairly calm last night. In Palm Beach County it's already blowing about 40 mph.

The game could be played at 8pm, or even on Monday, as the Buccaneers are on the road that day. Per the report, a decision on this contingency is expected to be made sometime on Thursday.

Obviously, this is a contingency that the University of Miami hopes not to use. But, plans needed to be made just in case Hurricane Matthew’s impact is significant to South Florida.

Tampa looks like a last resort. As of now everything is planning to stay the same.

Damage/Danger looks real for Palm Beach County. Pics from winds in Bahamas look 100+. Stay safe.

I want this game at home, badly. Forget Tampa. I'd rather see us play 3 games in 10 days than give up home field against FSU this year.

Lots of birds were chirping here in Cocoa, also....Was going to stay until I thought about the Dodo bird and the phrase "bird brains"

**** Blake James if he agrees to Tampa. The ****

This. I'm going to be furious if this happens.

Would rather cancel than play in Tampa.

You'd rather cancel? What the **** is that? Obviously we'd need a deal made where we get our home game back next year. But those noles don't get off that easy. Tampa would be a last resort. If we end up with a dead strike and can't play in Miami then ANYTIME ANYWHERE

weather tentatively looking nice for saturday night...10% chance of rain and 8mph winds as of 9:20am central time according to weather.com. obviously can change. what do you guys think though...i admittedly havent actually sat down and watched fsu much this season...but assuming they rely on dalvin cook more heavily than we rely on our ground game...would it help miami more than it would help fsu if it was a clean weather game where we'd be able to pass the ball no problem?

Play in Tampa on sat night vs play Monday night in Miami and 3 games in 10 nights. Tough choice

I honestly can't believe they haven't cancelled the game yet. I fully expected those in charge to go into panic mode by now and call it off.

Was saying all along i thought the game would be posptponed.. But with the system not hitting Miami there is no reason for this not to occur. They can spin it as a city coming today in support of something good.

Don't be surprised if the game gets cancelled / rescheduled. The storm may not hit Miami, but there may be some perceived Public Relations issues if all of the east coast of Florida is under water and without power by Saturday.

Lmao. The people on this board....

Can we adopt a filtering system to get these panicky bytches out of here.

We are Canes. This our natural habitat, but thanks anyway.

There were plenty of birds chirping in S Dade the day before Hurricane Andrew. I was there. ... probably the calmest night was the night before the storm... no wind, orange sunset!

Another message board gangster that has no real appreciation for what is about to happen to the state of Florida and how many lives could potentially be ruined in the next several days. Love all the tough guys on this board. Obviously, you have never held any real position of responsibility or authority.
