Why would they have to spin it? Whoever it hits will need help & plenty of it.

Was saying all along i thought the game would be posptponed.. But with the system not hitting Miami there is no reason for this not to occur. They can spin it as a city coming today in support of something good.

Don't be surprised if the game gets cancelled / rescheduled. The storm may not hit Miami, but there may be some perceived Public Relations issues if all of the east coast of Florida is under water and without power by Saturday.

I laughed.

Laugh all you want. All you are showing is your ignorance. If you think the schools aren't having conversations about this very topic with the ACC then you are fairly simple minded

I honestly can't believe they haven't cancelled the game yet. I fully expected those in charge to go into panic mode by now and call it off.

My Flight into FT Lauderdale has been cancelled it supposed to land at 11:30 on Friday.

Mine was a 12:10 arrival at FLL and got axed too. Southwest let me re-book for a 5:05pm arrival Friday. Hopefully that one doesn't get cancelled later.

With the hurricane already at 24.6 degrees north (Miami is at 25.5) it would take a near-impossible west turn for Dade to be hit directly

Latitude.

Gimenez just said on local CBS that chances of hurricane force winds in miami dade have dropped from 36 to 14%, but tropical storm winds remain at 80% - this is in line with what we've been seeing/expected but it seems as if they're remaining calm and not over reacting, yet

Take this with a grain of salt of course

See what I posted above. The NBC 6 guy said it's near impossible for Dade to take a direct hit now. Not saying it won't get ****, but not a direct hit.

Looks like we're in pretty good shape for now, hoping Broward and Palm Beach don't get directly hit for the sake of those people and having enough resources for the game
