Stat that floored me

Six Composite five stars on OL and DL since 2023. Most in America during that span. And that doesn’t include Hayden Lowe, who was a 247 five star but not Composite.

Alabama was second with five, and Georgia and Texas tied with four.

That’s what I was trying to explain in the Georgia tears . We’re recruiting in the trenches like tbama and ga use to in the trenches. Those two teams are not dominating recruiting in the trenches like they use to when they was winning championships. They were dominating in the trenches on both sides of the ball

Nah. If you don't have 4 kids who all have won the Biletnikoff award, I don't think you can expect to be better than about a .500 ballclub. Sucks, but it is what it is. 6-6 incoming because our nine blue-chip receivers plus 6th year senior we got from the SEC are probably gonna combine to catch about 14 passes this year. At least we have Lofton, though. Has anyone ever won the Mackey, Heisman, and Congressional Medal of Honor in the same season?
This is exhausting, every concern doesn't warrant the same response. What is a valid critique or discussion point oh wise one? This is a 17 win team mininmum.

Saying our WRs are below average when you've seen almost none of them play isn't a critique, it's classiC Miami mopery.

If your critique, or your discussion point, is you have CONCERNS that the WR group will take a step down from last year, and you feel that might limit the ceiling of the offense, that's how rational adults speak about things. If you say your opinion is that the WR room will be below average because of data point/evidence A, B, C....that's how rational adults speak about things.

Saying factually, the WRs stink, is silly. They don't. Because we don't know whether they do or don't.

This is how you build a sustaining program.

The mopes will point to Samson, and I get it. On paper, signing 5-stars is great. But if they never play, then who gives a ****? But the point is, you stack chips. If you go to the bar and talk to no girls or sheepishly approach one, you can't complain when you get home with your **** in your hand. If you go fire off game like a Gatling Gun, odds are you're gonna bring home a prize. Not every recruit, 5-star or not, is gonna hit. But this is how you build a long, successful, sustaining program. Stack. Mother. ******. Chips.
the issue is we havent retained those chips - achaempong, wayne, rudolph all gone after a single season. we need to retain the talent we recruit or put more eggs in the transfer basket if you arent going to put the time in to develop them.

f
OBMagic, This is not directed at you.

How in the F can anyone really point at Samson to fit their narrative? I mean I get that some will, but he's literally a REDSHIRT SOPHOMORE. In addition, he was injured and needed surgery on his knee (I believe it was an ACL, but Czar Cristobal doesn't release that info) which means it required extensive rehab. Even if it wasn't an ACL replacement surgery, a knee injury takes a while to recover from. Last I checked, players get 5 years to play 4 seasons, meaning Samson has 3 more seasons ahead of him. Yes, he hasn't done much to this point, but that's also relatively normal for linemen. He also has a first rounder and a 6'8" bohemoth ahead of him on the depth chart. Maybe he cracks the lineup at guard, maybe not. O Linemen don't generally rotate like D linemen do, which makes it that much tougher to make an impact early.
fwiw, he played against really soft comp but hes a third year guy not a sophomore. with how highly rated he was recruited, he should be starting this year, but he got overtaken by a JUCO OT transfer.

also can we stop with the bell is a first rounder right now. there is nothing that has him in the first round in any projections. can he be that? yes, but he has to improve on the field.

our WRs are unproven. we honestly dont know if they stink or not, but a lot of hope in an often injured WR, a true Frosh, and Jojo who i think will be a stud if he stays healthy (still unproven).

Everything in the off season is projection and opinion. Their is no proof in either direction. If someone felt that the WRs were average or below average during recruitment then that is a valid opinion. Telling someone that based off ___ ranking when most of the time the same people **** on the rankings that they don't find favorable is just fodder. The correct response would be a disagreement vs a dismissal.

Only 55% of 5 stars end up drafted. That's a lot of busts.

Saying the WR room talent is below average is not really a valid point when the majority of them don't even have enough of a sample size on the actual field to say they're below average players, saying they are unproven/inexperienced could be valid a concern however.

The same ppl who claim our WRs are below average/trash because they haven't played much to this point are the same ppl who will say arch manning is a heisman level QB next year cause he put up numbers on ULM MISS ST & UTSA.

You are dismissed.

For me there remain glaring talent issues. The WR group is average to below average. The LB group is awful.
What makes the wr group below average? How did you come up with that conclusion? Because virtually none of them have played up to this point. At least with the lb group you can sortve draw some version of a conclusion. While **** near none of them have played, at least you know what Wes is, you know what popo basically is and you know what alderman is. You also know everyone of them was highly regarded coming out and we added a couple pieces that are well regarded if health stays intact. Obviously that's a BIG if. BUT ITS NO BIGGER OF AN IF THAN YOU DECIDING THE WR ROOM IS BELOW AVERAGE AND THE LB ROOM IS AWFUL WHEN **** NEAR NONE OF THEM HAVE BEEN ON THE FIELD TO SHOW WHO THEY ARE...

Just because someone has an opinion doesn't make it a valid opinion. It simply makes it their opinion. And since virtually nobody on here knows the difference between two fingers on their right hand and their ******* then who really cares about most opinions. Either way this season a lot of those unproven kids are going to get the opportunity to play. At that point it's no longer an opinion. It becomes fact.

How can you possibly have any opinion on the WR when only two of them have played any snaps in a Miami uniform?? Who in this WR room has struggled to get open, has a history of drops or blowing assignments?

Dawson has a receiver friendly offense resulting in the #1 offense in the country in 2024 with 3 undrafted free agents starting. Now according to the rankings this WR room is far from average, I guess we will all know the truth this coming season.

WR Room
Keelan Marion RSR • 6-0 195 • 4 start #16 Portal WR

CJ Daniels RSR • 6-2 205• 4 start #22 Portal WR

Tony Johnson RFR • 5-11 185 • 3 start #55 Portal WR

Ray Ray Joseph JR • 5-10 190 • 4 start #23 HS WR #135 overall

Joshisa Trader SO • 6-1 190 • 4 start #9 HS WR #42 overall

Ny Carr RFR • 5-11 175 • 4 start #15 HS WR #67 overall

Chance Robinson RFR • 5-11 175 • 4 start #31 HS WR #181overall

Joshua Moore FR • 6-4 205 • 4 start #17 HS WR #124 overall

Malachi Toney FR • 6-4 205 • 4 start #49 HS WR #357 overall

Daylyn Upshaw FR • 6-4 205 • 4 start #67 HS WR #471 overall
What the **** is going on here! No chance there's actual logic & not screaming for everyone to hear constant mopery. Lol

You are a piece of ****.

You post mopey **** 24-7 and then you're surprised that people don't like you. Funny stuff.

You were literally the first poster to jump into DMoney's thread about #1 OTs just to point out the technicality that Cantwell might not be the composite OT1 at some point in the future.

I realize you may not like me and the way I call you out for being toxic, but you are certainly projecting when you call me names.

You're just not a good person. You're not.
