Stat of the season

their decisions are not infallible. Never said that nor implied it. What I was saying is that the overall consensus from the vast majority of canes fans was that TVD was the guy. That’s why a ton of money was put up for it. That’s why if you look at threads on this board from that time you will see the majority of the fan base in tears about him potentially leaving.

You or anyone else may have been right about TVD suddenly being so bad that he has 10 turnovers in 4 game..that he sacks himself.. that he throws balls directly into double coverage while another receiver is wide open.

I’m sure you and the other football savants are better suited for scouting for the nfl instead of commenting on a message board. But me and every other reasonable fan knows the mopes are going to mope and then gloat then the team sucks.
At least we finally agree.

Well a lot of the blame falls one 1 player. Let’s be honest that our QB is a turnover machine. He is frankly very good at it. The INT in the end zone with UM in scoring position was as good a turnover as a QB can provide.

Still something that the coaches are largely responsible for. Can't turn the ball over if you are sitting on the bench. After multiple games of seeing the same QB mistakes, Cristobal should have had Williams ready to go as soon as the offense struggled. Would have been easy to salvage TVDs reputation so he could conceivably come back later this year or maybe next season if he got his head straight.

If Cristobal pulled TVD after a couple series against NC St, all Cristobal had to say in the post game was that TVD has been playing through pain, but he's too much of a competitor to ask for a break so Cristobal had to protect him from his own competitiveness. Maybe some fans would see through it but it would protect the kids ego. Now if TVD gets benched its clear to everyone (and TVD) that he's probably not playing another game in a Canes uniform. Its bad coaching and player management.

Agreed on all points. It is ultimately the coaches fault for playing the guy who keeps turning the ball over.

Saturday night TVD officially entered my "Kyle Wright worst QB I've ever seen" zone. Dude even looks a bit related to him. Someone 23 and me that ******* small faced simpleton.
