"Manny is thinking bigger then Coley."

Mannnny my boy.

I have a feeling it goes Apple OC/QB, Seider RB, Taylor WR. In terms of recruiting that is sick. Those are trail killers.

Also it tells you about the respect people have for Manny. Juniors coming back. Good coaches are reaching out to Manny.

Stefan what happen with the Fran Brown guy? I thought he was going to come co-DC here if he didn't get the Temple job.

Also who have you been hearing about the S&C (which is the favorite).

Man if Seider and Taylor show up at Miami....we are good with these athletes in SoFla....we dont even need an offensive Coordinator if this happens

The buzz around the program is so much higher than it was a few days ago. He's not settling for any position. Looking at the names mentioned, it's obvious he's going to have some elite recruiters, along with the X's and O's guys.

Temple is definitely not Fedora's dream job. It's no one's dream job. The most you can hope for there is about four years, if a coach is successful. A guy like Fedora is just looking to repair his reputation, and show he can coach. If he was successful there, he'd be gone in two years at the most.

I wonder if that third choice is Sark if it ain't Coley.
And if we miss in Seider but get Irvin, i'm not mad (ok a little) but I want Seider.

On the search for an offensive coordinator, it’s still former North Carolina head coach

**On RB coach, PSU RB coach Ja’Juan Seider continues to be Miami’s top target for the job. Updating my report from yesterday, I’m told it was actually Seider that reached out to Diaz and there has been communication and mutual interest between the parties. Seider would be a big win in terms of potentially landing top 2019 RB target Mark-Antony Richards, as the two have a long-standing relationship going back to when Richards was in middle school, and he has been a huge part of the reason Richards was considering PSU in the first place.

**Another potential name starting to come out of the woodwork here is Miami Southridge head coach Sedrick Irvin, and I can confirm that there has been contact between the former NFL back and Diaz about the RB coach position. Irvin reached out to Miami, but it’s unclear where UM’s interest lies at the moment. Irvin had previous college coaching stops at Memphis, ECU, and Alabama, and had a hand in coaching Mark Ingram and Trent Richardson during his time at Alabama. Diaz had already hired a local high school coach (Gabe Infante) on his staff at Temple, so Irvin is certainly someone to keep an eye on as Diaz attempts to build South Florida ties on his staff.

Seider would be huge. What a great pick up if we land him (want). But, then again Irvin would be a great hire too. NFL and big time NCAA ties and even more ties to the S. FLA high school scene. Wow, we are looking good. Its good to see that the U is still a place coaches want to come to.

I wonder if that goes manute is Sark i'd it ain't Coley.

If Seider was reaching out to Miami, sounds like it's Manny's decision on that. Seems like a no-brainer with him.

On the search for an offensive coordinator, it’s still former North Carolina head coach Larry Fedora that is the top priority. I’m told he has been offered the job and that Miami is waiting on him to make a decision between OC at UM or taking the head coaching opening at Temple that Manny Diaz vacated. For what it’s worth, as a few others have reported the past couple days, I can confirm that former Houston head coach Major Applewhite is a name being considered if Miami can’t come to terms with Fedora. Applewhite has ties to Diaz going back to the pair’s days working on the same staff at Texas.

In his presser yesterday, Diaz said there were three finalists for the position, with a fourth candidate just missing the cut. Fedora and Applewhite are two of the finalists. Georgia co-OC James Coley is a name I brought up yesterday that was getting some internal support from at least one staff member, but everything I heard over the past few days suggests that Diaz himself is thinking “bigger” than Coley. I’d lean to him being the fourth name (if at all) as an educated guess.

I’m told that Diaz will not start to offer jobs or interviews to position coaches until the OC hire is in place, so interest from Miami’s side has been minimal on most, but there are plenty of names that are emerging that have reached out to express interest in the openings on the offensive staff.

**On QB coach, to update my report from yesterday, I’ve heard that it was Louisville QB coach Frank Ponce that reached out to Miami to express interest in the job. It’s unknown just how interested Miami is at this point.

Diaz had already hired a local high school coach (Gabe Infante) on his staff at Temple, so Irvin is certainly someone to keep an eye on as Diaz attempts to build South Florida ties on his staff.

**For WR coach, Trooper Taylor and Lamar Thomas have both let Miami know they are interested in the opening. Taylor is currently the DB coach at Arkansas State, but coached WR’s for Baylor, Oklahoma State, Tennessee, and Auburn in the past. Lamar Thomas is the former WR coach for Kentucky and Louisville and obviously has Miami ties after playing for the Canes from 1989-1992. It’s unknown just how interested Miami is in Taylor or Thomas as of now.

Anything on potential OL coach? It kinda the 3rd biggest hire after OC and S&C.

Yup.
Big no brainer. But speaking in generalities. If prices is too rich, I can see why they would think to go Irvin.
But.
I.
Want.
Seider.

He would have to much fun with our RB room. I can see it now. "Yo Lo! Remember that 6' 230lb freak of nature RB I put in the league who plays for the giants? Ready to get to work?"
😁😁😁 one can dream... this needs to be a reality.

Let’s see if the Cuban Don can change our fortunes and stop us from being left at the alter by our first choice. I don’t know if fedora is any good or not I’m just going with my brothers on here is saying. #timeforchange

“That may sound like a simple request but the past two coaches, Collins and Diaz, said they now have their “dream job.”
The school would like to hire somebody where Temple would be the dream job.”

Temple is not Fedoras dream job...

100%. I think if Temple offered Fedora the job then he would take it. But I can’t imagine Temple wanting to give the job to someone who will potentially leave after a year. They’ve had a lot of turnover and I think Fran would give them someone that will stick around longer.

I think they've probably saved enough money with Diaz to allow more money to be spent on position coaches. It also seems like money is less of an issue with the administration now.

Another thing. If he lands guys like Seider and Taylor, the bump class next year is going to be huge.
