Exactly. They would rather feature Rudy, I mean Berrios. Waters and Coley aren't good enough.

That's such an excuse to say it's on the coaches. I'm not saying it's wrong but nobody really knows. What I do know is that this team has a LOT of good receiving options every time Kaaya drops back and there's so much more to being good than raw talent. Berrios has a distinct role on this team and absolutely belongs...your statement about him is purely ridiculous. This aint high school anymore..and right now guys like Dorsett, Walford, Berrios and even Waters are better options each and every play than Coley.

I like berrios. He has dropped 2 passes this year but it hasn't stopped them from playing him and passing to him. All the nonsense about coley is bull****. Play him and get him the **** ball.

The idea that with these coaches there "has to be a reason" is laughable. What was the reason for barely playing herb early on? What was the reason for playing d'mauri jones? What was the reason for playing Brady? What is reason for all the bubble screens or running a random reverse in a tight game with limited possessions? Now all of a sudden the kid can't run routes? That's what he does best
 
I love the runs bad routes stuff when I don't even need two hands to count how many passes our WR's have caught from a route that wasn't a bubble, nine, a deep over, seam or flat route. None of those a requiring guys to get in and out of breaks. **** even the wheel route that Berrios caught Sat had more to do with good play design and route combos creating a busted coverage by the deep 3rd DB (don't say that often about this offense) than it did any expert route running (although it was a good route). Wake me up when we actually run some curls, comebacks, corners, and more than 3 slants, 3 digs, and 2 deep outs total in 6 games. Coaches rarely take Dorsett out yet so far this season the only route he ever seems to really run is a 9 or a flat/option route. Malcom is the only one who is consistently running digs, slants, and deep outs.

Exactly. When i see D'Mauri Jones on the field but consistently see Coley on the bench, my blood boils. THAT is why this offense is stagnant.....well that (not utilizing the talent of your best players) and being predictable. No offense to Jones but Coley is too talented to keep off the field and needs to be more involved in the gameplan.

Same thing could be said for Duke. He had 14 carries for 100 yards (only 17 rushes total for the team) and was rolling early on, but we insisted on throwing the ball 27 times with a true frosh QB. Coaching decision.......
 
Another game, another week where Coley barely plays. They keep talking about getting him going but I get the feeling he's in the doghouse.
 
Did you even consider the toll he takes from the 10-15 yard returns he has to endure on kick-offs. He's too tired to get in and run routes.

And the night games. I forgot about the night games. Them, too.
 
Stacey Coley seems to have a little bit of an attitude problem and if there is one thing we know.....Golden will bury those types of kids.

If you show any type of "me" attitude or express that you are getting a raw deal.......you simply don't play much under Golden. The silent treatment is Golden's way of dealing with that stuff.

Please see Seantrel Henderson, Luther Robinson, Kevin Olsen, etc.

He's in doghouse. No other explanation. Kid looked healthy to me and normal again this past weekend. We'll see when they finally decide to take the chains off of him. I think some has to do that he doesn't have the chemistry as well down with Brad as the others do yet. Going through a sophomore slump and not even really on his own accord. Being misused and he looks frustrated, I mean when he does something positive it's like they tell him to come back to the sideline. Something going on behind the scenes. Again I'll say, 2nd biggest red flag this season is the misuse of Stacy Coley, obviously the defensive coaching and scheme #1.

I'm sure he'll bounce back. But it's a matter of when? WTF man. Very depressing. Dorsett and Coley should be starting opposite each other. Then you sprinkle in Waters, Lewis and Berrios afterwards.

Olsen didn't play because of his attitude?

Seantrel still started. When he was pulled it was because of off field issues.

Stacy doesn't have an attitude problem stop speculating.
 
I think it's a mental thing. He looks hesitant on his returns. The drop against Duke - that was 100% mental.

Each game I keep thinking - this is the game where he snaps out of it...but it hasn't happened yet. Hopefully he has 2 weeks for VT to get right, and this doesn't last all season.

I don't think he's in the dog house because when he's on the field (which isn't much), it's for plays specifically designed for him.
