Right. The former mayor of Miami definitely doesn’t have any blackmail on the BoT. I am a Miami grad during the few years this school was actually nationally respected academically.

The story's been repeated here before. Blake acted without the whole BOT approving. He knew he had at least some behind him and acted.

If that is the case he should have been forced out by now. We have sucked enough over the last 3 years to not pull the trigger on a guy who supposedly acted behind their back. I’ll believe it when I see it.

Neither OCCC nor I disagree with you that we need a better HC but we think Blake needs to be replaced with a legit AD and that AD should sort through it and make the decision because that’s what they do. A legit AD is more qualified than 100% of this board to go through the things we don’t even see or know about and decide.

OCCC if I’m off here then sorry guy and please correct me.

How about this: enjoy the win and the rise of TVD and forget about the rest. Manny is still a bad coach, and Blake is a POS losing friends fast. Unless God intervenes they’re history.

2 weeks ago Miami had just lost their 6th straight P5 game. Why have they not been fired yet?

It's difficult getting rid of a coach after 2 seasons. It's even more difficult after a covid season where they went 8-4.

James needed to be gone long ago, but he kissed enough BOT *** to stick around. He'll be gone soon and that's more important than Manny.

I agree it is way more important. But what is the BoT waiting for? This should have been done 3 years ago. Why is he still here? That is all I am trying to say. The BoT should have done this already. He is a beta btch who hired a coach behind their back, turtled, then tried to play tough guy with manny before NC State. He should be gone by now.

Pretty much. I mean personally I’m done with Manny, and like I said before, he means nothing to me. His performance has been abysmal. The putrid defense is his baby, so to speak. That’s on him.

Youre right though, if it were up to me I’d hire a legit AD post haste and put it on him to fix the program by getting the right personnel. There’s other ways to go, but that is my preference.

But I’ll be damned if I ever root for losses. Never.
 
Anyone here have the confidence to guarantee Blake and Manny will be gone no matter what. Even if the team wins out with a bowl win?

Wanting our guys to receive better coaching IS supporting them.

Have you ever worked somewhere and saw a manager that took the sht jobs from the higher ups and catered to their needs? It doesn't matter if they're a great manager or even competent because they make life easier for the decision makers.

It's like that. We've all known he was the problem, but until the BOT had to act, it didn't matter. That's why Herbstreit was the straw that broke the camel's back.

That’s how I felt until they didn’t act. We win out and all the national pressure will be gone. They will be talking about what a turnaround we had and how great Blake was for not acting too rash and firing Manny.

Hey we have won 2 games in a row against ranked teams. Not bad. And it looks like we might just have a stud at QB.

We need a nasty Defensive End. Or 2.

But, I can't root for the Cane's to lose. The season and the chips that fall will play out like they should.

I am sure Blake and Manny in the same room right now is very interesting.

If that is the case then do you have a reason as to why Blake James is currently employed by UM?
