I will never root for losses, as this is my alma mater. Glad we won, very happy for the players mainly, very excited about the actual talent on this team. Looks like we have finally found ourselves a legit elite quarterback if TVD keeps playing like this. But even with saying all that, I would have enjoyed this win a **** of a lot more if Manny would have been fired after the UNC game. I cannot stand Manny as our HC, and he doesn't deserve this job man. We all know, deep deep down, that he'll keep us in 7-9 win purgatory. He's not a good coach, he's not a disciplinarian, he favors upperclassmen, he's all flash and absolutely zero substance. even if we win out the rest of this year, I want him gone. A competent HC would have had us sitting at 7-1 right now (yes, with better coaches, we should have won that Michigan State game, and kept it within two scores of Bama).
This win does absolutely nothing to change my opinion of Manny. Doesn't move the needle for me at all. He still has 3 of the top 10 most embarrassing losses in Miami history ('19 FIU, '19 Louisiana Tech, '20 UNC) and has made us a laughingstock more often than not. Get him and Blake James the fuqq out of Miami man.
I'll always support these players and I want to see them do well. We have a real solid core group of young players on this team, and they deserve excellent coaching to maximize their talents and successes.
