The Head Coach is a Gator....not sure what else to tell you. I know they take the kids on trips to visit some campuses etc while doing the 7 on 7 circuit.

this is overplayed. aside from this year, uf has not benefitted much from recruits on that team. as the op mentioned guys have gone to west virginia, clemson, uga, lousiville, ohio st., etc. miami has gotten more players from express than uf has over the past few years.

I believe it's an after effect of the lack or recruiting Coker and Shannon did in SF, or lack of recruiting period. Neither one of those coaches did the U any favors with keeping the recruiting roads open, and they definitely didn't do the U any favors with their lack of coaching as well. The result of that, as the OP and Killa mentioned, is top recruits/athletes, who grew up huge Miami fans, chose to play elsewhere. At the time, probably because Miami wasn't recruiting them as hard as WV, GA...etc. Now Golden and staff are trying to fix the mess the previous two built and is doing a great job at it. It's going to take some time however.

what's suprising to me (even though i knew it was already happening) is the apparel company's sponsoring these teams. right off the bat they're laying the groundwork for them being corrupted. 7-on-7's should be done per high school, wherever you go that's who you play with.

Dont know if anybody caught it last night but after Quincy and Ermon committed they had Lammons on and he was talking (paraphrasing) about how SFE how they stick together and they going to be balling, blah, blah, blah... Then Bluestein cut him off and was like dont forget about the Plantation colonels (lammon's school). Lammons was like oh, yea them too. Found that very telling and funny at same time

This is essentially the crux of the issue. UM, for all of its on-field successes has not, to my knowledge done a good job of filling the local high school coaching ranks with UM-friendly assets. I think they are now beginning to understand this but they are behind the times in addressing these types of local issues.

Miami wins, recruits want in. Miami says disassociate from Goetz, if you do, you're in...if you don't, you're out.

That theory is when the machine/program is rolling, but I think we are heading that direction.

An often overlooked, but incredibly important detail especially when we are currently playing from behind because every step we make is being watched.

this is interesting considering the choice of school for players on sfe over the years has been so varied. they have literally sent players everywhere except the pac-12 it seems. clemson, fsu, miami, uga, louisville, lsu, bama, uf, etc. doesn't seem to fit with the stick together theme, unless he's talking about as friends off the field which would make sense.

I was thinking about more than just the current staff. Im talking UM as a whole. To me, it ties into the comments from UM alumni about non-UM alums being UM sports fans. What has the University itself done on this front? I wonder how many UM grads are teaching at south Florida high schools-or Tampa area high schools - or Orlando/Daytona area skools? My guess is that UF puts more teachers into the community than UM. This creates more school district administrators from uf, and on & on...

I think the solution is to really focus on dade and I would start working on getting dade kids away from SFE

The issues with SFE this cycle probably have more to do with Quincy Wilson than they do with Goetz. The bigger mystery is what the **** is going on with U school. I'm starting to wonder if there isn't some shadiness there the staff wants no part of. Only thing I can come up with.

Yes, that speaks to SF bay's point of how Miami doesnt have a strong administrative, teaching, and coaching presence in so fl and is getting beat at that level

Wow scary stuff in my eyes, especially seeing the kids from Central and NW become part of it. I read in an old thread that BTW has its own team and Ice doesnt let them pay elsewhere. Ice may be an ally after all
