Sony to take a visit?

The difference between UGA and UF is Georgia doesn't have Miami and FSU to compete against in state for recruits. They are the SOLE player in a state that produces the 4th most NFL players in the country.

Georgia Tech?

Plus, people forget that FSU is close to GA as well. I get your point though, people are stealing their recruits like crazy.

Nobody has that state on lock.

To hear Ga Tech fans tell it, they can't get in on most of those 4 and 5 star guys in Georgia because they have academic requirements for athletes that prohibit getting a lot of those kids.

UGA doesn't have that problem. The dumbest mother****ers alive who can barely say their own name can get in to UGA.

FSU might be nearby but it's not Georgia. Same with all those SEC teams. They should own their backyard, but they don't.

hasn't he had a rough season though?

He's the leading rusher in small school Broward. Brandon Powell is the leading rusher in big school Broward.

Michel was cutting on a dime and taking it to the house against Jackson. Special talent.

D, was it u or Pete that had written in a post after Sony had committed to UGA, that on NSD we'd end up with one of either Sony or Dalvin regardless of what had happened?

D-Money made the projection that one of the two would flip.

Cane4life, go sit down, youngblood. LOL. You sound like a 21 year old. I can tell by the way you type. Dont no grown a$$ man say half the **** you just said. You phuckin Mark Richt daughter or something? You riding his **** harder then most UGA fans. You know the history and all! LOL. Im sure they would be glad to have you join them over there. Not even gonna waste anymore time arguing with you about this.

Im almost twice that age genius. But thanks for all your great insights. Unfortunately I have a visceral reaction to arguing with stupidity. And EXCUSE ME for easily accessing statistics which are readily available to anyone with access to Google. You should try it out sometime slick. The bottom line is you can bag on Richt all you want for not having won an MNC, but as I have now shown you, there have been many HALL OF FAME coaches, who have never won an MNC, and many more who at most have ONE and didnt win those until DECADES after they became HCs. Georgia hadnt been sh*t for years before Richt got there. He is NOT a GREAT coach, but no one here has ever claimed he was. But there is a lot of ground between being a Great National Championship winning coach, and being a bum who deserves to be fired.

Personally, IDGAF what happens to Richt. They could fire him next year, it doesnt affect my life, or us all that much. But I cant just sit back and listen to this STUPIDITY screaming about how the guy sux and should be fired, a year after winning his division for two years in a row, coming off a 12-2 season, having won the SEC twice and his division six times. UGA has been in the top 3 of the SEC almost every year the guy has been there. He's the best coach they have had since Vince Dooley. UGA is NOT some super powerhouse program that was winning a bunch of National Championships even in the Dooley era.

What's really hilarious is your totally immature perspective. You insinuate that Im young because Im simply pointing out how asinine your ridiculous assertions about him are, yet its your view that is most often associated with immature fans. People who rant and rave and demand a coach be fired because he hasnt won an MNC, despite the guy having significantly improved the program, being a great recruiter, having done pretty **** well in what WAS arguably the toughest conference in college football over the last 7-10 years.

Mark Richt is garbage.

The state of Georgia produces the fourth most NFL players (behind only Florida, California, and Texas), they are just about THE ONLY game in town. (there is no Georgia State. Their only in-state competition is Georgia Tech, who have academic eligibilitiy requirements that put most of Georgia's 4 and 5 stars out of play for them).

Yet somehow, the majority of their 4 and 5 star talent leaves the state to play for teams like Alabama.

Now why is that? At least part of the blame has to fall with Mark Richt. The coach, after all, is responsible for recruiting.

And for those of you who compare Georgia with Tennessee..... horse ****. The state of Tennessee produces less than a third of the NFL-level talent that Georgia does.

The right coach at Georgia could and should have them winning the SEC nearly every year. Mark Richt is not that guy.

If you want to compare Georgia to anybody, compare them to Texas. Those two teams are in similar situations. If anything, though, Georgia is worse - Texas at least has in state competition in the way of A&M, TCU, Texas Tech, etc.

Georgia doesn't even have any of that.

No.... Georgia is the PRIME EXAMPLE of an underachiever. And you know what? That's fine by me. I give two ***** about Georgia.

Maybe no comp in-state, but they have comp from the top 4-5 teams in the SEC. Alabama produces nice quality, but they have never produced the quantity of talent needed to be dominant. Bama, Auburn, and Tennessee recruit primarily in Georgia and actually have a stronger alumni presence in the state than does UGA...that has always been the case. Then FSU and UF clean up a good bit as well. So while the state of Georgia has a lot of talent, it has always gone elsewhere and that talent gets poached by at least 6-7 programs who are historically some of the best programs in college football history.

Now **** UGA...they are by far my most hated team. But C4L is right on this one. UGA wasn't **** before Richt got there and he's done work. People act like they have this great history. Consider this...Richt's 8-4 rookie season was the most successful campaign for a new UGA coach since 1920! 8 **** wins, that's how low the bar has been set there.

He's won 2 SEC titles and finished runner up 3 other times...each time the winner of that game went on to win the national title. The guy has gotten them within a game of the national title 5 different times and the only time he's lost is to the eventual national champion. Had he had the fortune to be in a different conference he might have 2 rings already. His record at UGA is 122-43, bum *** coaches don't accomplish that. Now he isn't a great coach but to act like he's some scrub off the street is ridiculous. That being said...**** UGA!

Yes. I still feel that way. Long time until NSD.

Lol at the youngn's here bagging Richt. Dude is much like Stoops, but with a better track record...a coach who wins a lot of games but never the big one. Before Richt got there, they toiled in mediocrity. Donnan and Goff did little with that in-state talent. Richt led teams are consistently 8-9 win teams. Say what you will about never getting to the big game or never winning big games but Richt has brought a lot of winning to that school.

UGa's back yard is Athens, not Georgia.

Alabama, Auburn, FSU, Clemson, Tennessee, Miami, South Carolina, Florida, and now even Ole Miss all take turns stealing elite recruits from Georgia.

Virginia Tech took that freshman cornerback Brandon Facyson from Georgia. Big time miss by Richt w/ him seeing as how much much their secondary is struggling.

Yet UGA always manages to accumulate oodles of NFL talent.
