Sony to take a visit?

Richt could lose out the season and not be fired. I live next door to a big UGA donor and trust me, they watched the situation at Tennessee. The grass is not always greener. Richt is a very strong recruiter and UGA admin and alums for the most part love him to death. These super conferences, especially the SEC, are tough to be in.

Of course he's not. And Tennessee is the PERFECT example of why you dont get rid of a generally successful coach because he's had a few down years. Tenn was always competitive under Fulmer, and since then they have been wondering in the wilderness trying to find someone that can even get them back to where he had them. People seem to think good coaches just grown on trees. Everyone wants to WIN NOW, and with all the money being thrown around, you have more programs than ever trying to buy their way into the big time. If you can find a good coach, you are stupid to dump him, at least until you have no other choice.

God i wish we could just move on from these guys that dont want to be here. It always takes way too long, the funny thing is the majority of the time when a player wants to play at Um he does a couple things:

1) He actually ***ing commits there.......

2) He actually takes care of buisness so that he can enroll there..........

3) He actually ***king plays there........

-The five-star combo back said Miami has been staying in contact and they want to get him out to a game before the season wraps up.
-"Right now it's only Miami, I talked to them a little bit," remarked Michel. "They call me and we have conversations. I might check out a couple of the home games for Miami."
-Michel said with the open date he will attend the UM-Wake Forest game on Saturday.
-As of now he is 100-percent committed to UGA, but keep an eye on the hometown Hurricanes. UM appears to be working hard to gauge his interest of a possible flip down the stretch.

I'm not getting my hopes up until his cousion or uncle say there is a chance.

Cane4life, go sit down, youngblood. LOL. You sound like a 21 year old. I can tell by the way you type. Dont no grown a$$ man say half the **** you just said. You phuckin Mark Richt daughter or something? You riding his **** harder then most UGA fans. You know the history and all! LOL. Im sure they would be glad to have you join them over there. Not even gonna waste anymore time arguing with you about this.

Im almost twice that age genius. But thanks for all your great insights. Unfortunately I have a visceral reaction to arguing with stupidity. And EXCUSE ME for easily accessing statistics which are readily available to anyone with access to Google. You should try it out sometime slick. The bottom line is you can bag on Richt all you want for not having won an MNC, but as I have now shown you, there have been many HALL OF FAME coaches, who have never won an MNC, and many more who at most have ONE and didnt win those until DECADES after they became HCs. Georgia hadnt been sh*t for years before Richt got there. He is NOT a GREAT coach, but no one here has ever claimed he was. But there is a lot of ground between being a Great National Championship winning coach, and being a bum who deserves to be fired.

Personally, IDGAF what happens to Richt. They could fire him next year, it doesnt affect my life, or us all that much. But I cant just sit back and listen to this STUPIDITY screaming about how the guy sux and should be fired, a year after winning his division for two years in a row, coming off a 12-2 season, having won the SEC twice and his division six times. UGA has been in the top 3 of the SEC almost every year the guy has been there. He's the best coach they have had since Vince Dooley. UGA is NOT some super powerhouse program that was winning a bunch of National Championships even in the Dooley era.

What's really hilarious is your totally immature perspective. You insinuate that Im young because Im simply pointing out how asinine your ridiculous assertions about him are, yet its your view that is most often associated with immature fans. People who rant and rave and demand a coach be fired because he hasnt won an MNC, despite the guy having significantly improved the program, being a great recruiter, having done pretty **** well in what WAS arguably the toughest conference in college football over the last 7-10 years.

Mark Richt is garbage.

The state of Georgia produces the fourth most NFL players (behind only Florida, California, and Texas), they are just about THE ONLY game in town. (there is no Georgia State. Their only in-state competition is Georgia Tech, who have academic eligibilitiy requirements that put most of Georgia's 4 and 5 stars out of play for them).

Yet somehow, the majority of their 4 and 5 star talent leaves the state to play for teams like Alabama.

Now why is that? At least part of the blame has to fall with Mark Richt. The coach, after all, is responsible for recruiting.

And for those of you who compare Georgia with Tennessee..... horse ****. The state of Tennessee produces less than a third of the NFL-level talent that Georgia does.

The right coach at Georgia could and should have them winning the SEC nearly every year. Mark Richt is not that guy.

If you want to compare Georgia to anybody, compare them to Texas. Those two teams are in similar situations. If anything, though, Georgia is worse - Texas at least has in state competition in the way of A&M, TCU, Texas Tech, etc.

Georgia doesn't even have any of that.

No.... Georgia is the PRIME EXAMPLE of an underachiever. And you know what? That's fine by me. I give two ***** about Georgia.

The course reversal on this board if he were to flip would be one of the most epic things I have ever seen.

LMFAO, and who might that "right coach" be? Because Georgia sure as **** hasnt found him in almost 100 years of playing football. And you are a funny gun, in a conference that has arguably the most successful College Football program in history in Alabama, but Georgia, whose history of success couldnt fill a locker at Bama, should be winning the SEC every year. BUT WAIT, you also forgot that Florida is in the SEC, and that's one of those states you mentioned. And you act like Georgia doesnt recruit top notch recruits outside their state. So WTF is the argument here? I thought Richt was a CORCH because he has all this great talent, and cant win an MNC. Now your argument is that he DOESNT recruit well at UGA???

Underachiever? Probably. But underachiever does not automatically = garbage. **** IIRC Richt's salaray is like in the middle of the SEC coaches as it is. Its not even like the dude is getting paid what coaches at Texas or Bama are making. You might even have an argument if the guy was the highest paid coach in the SEC, but he's not. NOt even close.

He's a good coach, at an above average SEC program. Which has NEVER been better than average to above average under ANY coach.
