I understand the frustration, but fellas: How does talking **** about a player the coaches are still recruiting make sense as a 'Canes fan?

This is an era where kids and families read this stuff more than ever. The coaches bust their asses to recruit big-time kids like Michel. Sometimes this internet stuff comes back to them and they have to deal with it. It's counterproductive.

Sony can't ignore the glory brewing in Coral Gables and the need for a bigger back. Signing day is more than a hundred days away. Let it play out.

HG, Here's my reasoning. Sony was a Cane all of his life until Richt turned him. Richt hit it off with the Michel family. My thinking is that when the reality of leaving South Fl., family, and friends gets closer he might be more receptive to the UM coaches (Who never stopped recruiting him). Unlike Cook there has been no trying to recruit kids to Ga. It's been a quiet recruitment. Cook on the other hand is part of a group of kids going to Fl.that feed off of each other. Frankly, I see Cook as another Mathew Thomas. All the die hards think we have a good chance but he has given us no indication that he is the least bit interested.
 
If I am Sony or one of his family members and I read some on the insults leveled at Richt in this thread It would drive me as far away form Miami fans as I could get. Richt has the most tenure at Ga. as any coach since Vince Dooley. He has kept Ga. in the discussion and has recruited well for them. He isn't going anywhere. In addition my impression is that as far as other coaches are concerned he's close to the top of my list.

I currently live in GA, and live in a house of UGA fans. And it would seem as Richt's clock is ticking, if it doesn't strike midnight this season. In all honesty, that doesn't care anymore. And if Richt goes so will alot of the coaches. Now if Sony, really picked UGA because of their RB coach and he leaves as Richt leaves, Sony may begin to look elsewhere(a.k.a. Miami).
 
Richt developed a relationship with the american heritage team a few years ago when he personally recruited kicker marshall morgan. Also, i've seen Sony's brother, Marken at some heritage games this year. The kid may not be SEC caliber, but he certainly looks the part and maybe he can contribute on special teams. Why not give him a scholarship for only two years in return for arguably the second best high school RB in the country. Trust me the UGA faithful aren't upset about giving Marken a scholarship, they are celebrating the fact that they landed sony. Hypothetically, as all of us would celebrate as well if he and his brother were to flip to miami.

That's a pretty *** thing to say. Sony's family might want to stay away from the UGA boards then, because they dragged that son of a ***** over the coals.

I knew shady **** was goin down. There were reports his brother left UMASS. I guess now it's official the Marken was indeed granted a spot on UGA. What a ***** scumbag Richt is...
 
Stop talking crap about players we are actively recruiting. You're making our coaches job that much more difficult. In other words, STFU!

So you'd get mad at UM fans for being UM fans and not sucking off the corch of UGA? Then, and I say this with love and respect, you're a bigger vag than Magic Chef Michel.

his team in all actually should be sitting on 3-4 losses right now....i saw his team struggle with North Texas. Dude is a young Bobby Bowden figurehead/bum coach....just dont understand the Richt hype...or UGA for all that much.,...there a fraud team ive been itching for us to schedule for some time now.
