so if he doesnt pick UM everyone will curse him out I guess and make it look like the right choice. Cmon SM pick UM kid we need u.

Artie Burns, Derrick Griffin, & Gus Edwards decommited from other schools and committed to us. Same with Yearby. We also had five or six players commit to us then decommit. It ain't over till signing day. Sony does he seem like the type to stay firm, but things change. We will see how this situation plays out. Rumph said its not necessarily going to be his final decision, no need for a meltdown.

kid said he is done with recruiting. i would take him at his word and say its over today. either way. He has been recruited since 8th grade, there is nothing more for us to show him....except winning

And Rumph says that whichever school Michel chooses tomorrow won't necessarily be his final destination. Asked if he thinks the school Michel picks could change by signing day, Rumph said, "Yeah, that's the thing - people are making such a big deal ... whatever he picks the top schools aren't going to quit." I committed to UM as a junior, and the top schools turned the heat up a little more once I committed to UM. What this is going to do is it takes a lot of the smaller schools out of the picture."

Rumph doesn't know either. Im taking what the kid said. Not all of them are confused young punks. Sony seems to be well put together, keeps good grades and articulates well. I think whoever he picks thats it.

With what Rumph says, I think it is imperative that everyone (posters) handle this decision with class and tact. Do not call this kid names or any other, if they don't pick Miami. It can really hurt in the long run.

I think landing Sony is almost as much about perception as it is about talent. Miami landing the highest rated kid in S. FL tells all the other teams and other kids that Miami is truly on the way back. We get who we want out of S. FL and everybody else gets our scraps.

This right here

I just smh

doesn't make any ****ing sense at all why this kid would go to UGA of all places

Sony to UGA
Collins to Arkansas
Cook to ???

makes we wanna puke. 3 high end NFL RB talents. have to get AT LEAST ONE

did u just say 3 high end NFL tbs? lol i love sony but he isnt in college yet. a lot can happen with any of those 3 u mentioned. alfred morris is an NFL starter who was very good in his rookie year and the guy went to FAU. dont think anyone called him a high end NFL rb out of hs.

You really think Sony believes that it will all just stop? He thinks that teams are going hard for him now **** is going to get out of control later

I'm saying that they have high end NFL TALENT...lots of things could go wrong down the line but at this point in their careers they look like high end NFL talent

The problem with Sony is that this is not like Stcey Coley and Donell Bennett. Sonys Fam is handling his recruitment, and UUALLY that's the best thing to do. Because with ome of these high school coaches, they'll push a kid to whichever school they may receive favors/money from, alumni of, or are friends with the staff. One example being with Alex Collins and coach gatewood last year. Everyone saw how that went down. One that went in UMs favor was Stacey and coach B. It's good to get ADVICE from a coach and/or other parents who have dealt with the recruiting process. BUT usually family is the best option. Sonys uncle, parents , etc.... are the ones who should probably be listened to. Not sure how much Input Rumph is having on the decision.

True, he has struck me the same way....BUT, he also didn't strike me as a kid that would be influenced by package deals or shady adults. I don't see anything off the table. IMO a package deal this far out has low odds of lasting until NSD. I don't think he ends up at GA.

One guy who I think is getting overlooked a little from last years class is that boy Corn Elder. Kids a playmaker who DOMINATED high level private school ball in Tenneseee. I THINK he'll stick back there, and wind up backing up Duke. No disrespect to Crawford because he works very hard at his craft as well and is talented, but that elder kid is BAD with the ball in his hands. That kid Ramsey might gave been more polished at cornerback and taller. But from all accounts Corn seems to be on par or better athletically and a much more versatile and explosive player.

Everybody acting like Cook will just switch over to us once Sony commits to UGA are not thinking this through.

It has been known for a while now that Cook's parrents have been making money off their son's abilities since little league, and that he almost transfered to Carol City (Flo Rida's alma matter) this year b/c Flo Rida was gonna pay his parrents. Too many people found out and it never went down.

Then this kid commits to Clem$on who many suspect of paying FL recruits such as 5 star WR Sammy Watkins and 5 star LB Tony Stewart and a few more, not to mention that pic of that OLineman with the stack of cash in a Clem$on polo that was on his facebook for like 10 min before Clem$on made him take that **** down. I believe a South Carolina fan got it and posted it on the main board a few years back.

Then out of nowhere he commits to the Gators (an $EC $chool) a week after the story about Muschamp paying players at Auburn broke.

But the weirdest thing about that UF commitment was that in the article on rivals, Cook says that his parrents are gonna drive up to Gainsville every 2 weeks to "get to know the staff better".

Now I have heard that Cooks father does not have a job that would allow him to spend the type of money on gas that it would cost to get from Dade to Gainsville every 2 weeks from now till signing day, so WTF?

IMO the Gator coaches caught wind that Cook might be for sale and offered his parrents some serious cash while up there that weekend. And to ensure that they keep his commitment till signing day they told his father to come up to Gainsville every 2 weeks to receive it in chunk$ or as the Cook says "get to know the coaches better".

Then a few days later Cook has another interview where he says that he will still consider other schools, IMO to keep the heat on the Gators and make sure he gets as much as possible out of his recruitment.

So I doubt that Cook flips, mainly b/c the Gators are paying him little by little till signing day to keep him.

Agreed. He is a veteran of the process and a smart kid. He has heard and seen it all at this point. Of course he could flip but I wouldn't count on it. Hopefully its us.

I still would have liked to see Sony play against better talented players like Yearby and Cook. He runs over Div 2 teams until he get's into the playoffs, then they lose. Just saying! He sure and **** can't cut like Yearby can and I still put Duke as the best back coming out of SF, period. Sony might be a great one, but who has he played against and proved it?

Pretty much inexcusable to not land this kid after everything I've read for the past 2 years.

Solid race car driver AND 5 star LB... always liked multi-sport stars. Bet he cost a fortune.
