Yes, we're trying to rationalize not getting Sony. Why is that so hard to understand? It's not like this is a first or something.

We miss out on a recruit and excuses, reasoning and rationalization come out the woodwerks as to why we don't need a player and why we'll be fine without him. It's a coping mechanism.

BIG TIME PLAYERS MAKE BIG TIME PLAYS.... Sony is big time player. Let's not sugar coat it with. "oh hes jut a runningback". Unacceptable to mss on a kid like this in your backyard. To win championships, UM HAS TO stack up on talent. Without Gio Bernard, UNC loses and UM wins. Without Amari Cooper, Bamas not in the title game. Without Geno and Steadman, West Virginia does even worse. Sammy Watkins at Clemson, Without Rashad Grene or Devonta Freeman, fsu doesn't sniff the ACC game. Without Teddy and some of thoes other south Florida guys UM recruited, Louisville sucks. Patrick Peterson while at LSU, imagine him at um if randys lazy *** would have let his ego down. Jayron Hosley, Marcus Roberson is going to be a very good one at Uf, Leanord Williams was a monster at Dtackle as A FRESHMAN for usc, Avery young started as a FRESHMAN on the oline..... Can go on and on.

Bottom line is, Golden and staff have to figure out a way to keep the elite talent home. Rb, WR, Te, T, G, Db, QB..... At almost every position on UMs squad the best players are from down there. Lol even one of the best if not the best punter in the nation who transferred to UM and will probably be drafted is from.... Guess where...... South Florida.

Some times kids just want to experience something new for college. You can't fault them for that. I would love Sony to stay home, but he may want to experience something besides South Florida. Same with Cook. I loved my time at Miami and think it is a great place, but I drove 1200 miles to get there because I didn't want to play for my local school. It happens.

People are ridiculous, when he was a "lock" he was a "must get" now that everyone is ****ting themselves, "we don't need him"

the thought here is IF he ends up signing (notice I didn't say picks today) with UGA we are still in good shape at the RB position.

This. Yearby is a GREAT back, no doubt. More natural at the position right now than Cook. In open space he makes ELITE players miss, combine that with his vision, translates very well to the next level. However, it's about stacking talent. You hope injuries don't happen, but they do, especially at the running back position. If you have Duke, Yearby, Sony, And Cook. UMs set. Don't have to worry about a player going down. On top of that for the 2015 class you can focus on recruitung the 1 back Golden and staff want in Scarlett at U school. Imagine wide receiver depth with herb Waters, Amari Cooper, Rashawn Scott, Phil Dorsett, Stacy Coley, Ermon Lane, Travis Rudloph, Jojo robinson, darell Langham, Jontavious works very hard on his craft as well..... Lol.... What else needs to be said?

It's lookin like UGA Rumph all but said it in the herald. Blame speed zone guy for this. If u don't think it's crazy that UGA hasn't ever visited the school then idk wat to say. What does that tell u... Looks like Sony summer UGA visit was convincing...

For the record with amari cooper he is good , but when you run the ball and have an oline like bama did your receivers look good. Unless they reload at oline his numbers will drop.

Rump doesn't want him to commit today, only one reason for that, it's GA. If it was Miami I'm sure he would be fine with it. Of course he knows, that's why he doesn't want him to commit and ruin the kids big day on tv. Oh well, who are the great rb's in SF next year? We already have Yearby, we'll be fine. Keep Sony away from our recruits.

Well, with all the rumblings of possible new RB offers and all the "smoke" it's not looking good. But I honestly think it works for us this time. I think he picks UGA, gets over the fuss/high, and at the last minute picks us.

Either way, Yearby is a beast and we will pick up another back to compliment him. Hopefully when Cook see Michel gone he goes with his boy to the U.

I think landing Sony is almost as much about perception as it is about talent. Miami landing the highest rated kid in S. FL tells all the other teams and other kids that Miami is truly on the way back. We get who we want out of S. FL and everybody else gets our scraps.
